Continue ReadingGil competed at last year’s Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase and was one of the top quarterbacks at the event. His arm strength stands out on intermediate level throws and he developed a good rapport with the receivers at the event.
He had a strong senior year averaging 177 yards per game with 24 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He was named MVP of the Freeway League.
Christian Guarascio
Christian Guarascio
Guarascio was frequently on the “Top Rushers of the Week” list on Prep Redzone. He was among the Orange County leaders in rushing all season long.
The senior ran for 172 yards per game and had 13 touchdowns. He ran for nearly 1900 yards on the season.
Guarascio will play in the Orange County All Star game in February and I am interested to see if he gets some late recruiting interest.
Landon Heard
Landon Heard
Heard was a two-way player for Los Gatos this season but excelled more as a defensive back.
He had five interceptions that he returned for 128 yards including a pick six. Heard also played receiver and returned some kicks for Los Gatos.
Irwin was the Sunset League Defensive Linemen of the Year which is very impressive considering it may be the best public school league in Southern California.
He had 60 tackles, 9 for a loss with 6.5 sacks for an Edison team that reached the Division 1 playoffs. He also had three touchdowns as a receiver.
Irwin will also play in the Orange County All Star game in February.
Highlights
Trey Kukuk Trey Kukuk 6’0″ | 190 lbs | QB Capistrano Valley | 2023 State CA was one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in Orange County this season. He threw for 270 yards per game with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions in the eight games he played in.
He also ran for 506 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has the tools and the leadership ability that colleges love. It will be interesting to see his leadership skills on Sunday and the way he develops a rapport with the receivers.
Ryan Rizk
Ryan Rizk
Rizk is one of those names I have seen for the past two or three years but have not had the chance to see in person.
He led Pacifica in tackles last season with 101 and was one of the Pacifica players that could hang with the far better teams in the league like Cypress or Crean Lutheran.
I am excited to see how he does in the speed drills and the pass coverage drills on Sunday.
