They were 3-1 in their division last season. The Chargers lost in the third round to Charleston. They have some studs returning next year. This may be a better year for the Chargers.
Caleb Cunningham Caleb Cunningham 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Choctaw County | 2025 State MS , WR, 2025
Cunningham is one of the most talented receivers in his class for the whole nation. He is killing it on the basketball court as well. He is going to be one of their main targets in the air next season. The more he gets better with his route running the better he will be. He is playing with Mesh Academy 7v7 this off-season. He will be working with Shay Hodge and Mike Espy. This will give Cunningham his first chance to face better talent. This will definitely be a game changer for him.
KJ Cork, QB, 2026
Cork had to mature very fast last season. He was thrown in at quarterback as just a freshman. He did a pretty good job. Lead his team to the playoffs and put up some nice numbers. This off-season he needs be dedicated to bettering his accuracy. That will help his game a lot. He has a strong arm. Just needs to make sure those passes are on point. Cork can also hurt you with his legs. He is a guy that knows how to run the read option well. I’m looking forward to seeing him on the field next season.
Jeremiah Miller, RB/OLB/ 2026
Miller got a chance to come in and make some things happen last season just like Cork. Miller stepped up to the plate. He averaged almost forty yards a game rushing. He was splitting snaps with an older back, but next year he is going to be his year. I like his style. He can be a shifty, elusive back or hard-nosed. Miller also likes some contact. He plays defense for the Chargers also. He is a guy that I think is going to make a big name for himself. The more he gets the ball the better he will be. Thus is his time to show Ackerman, Mississippi he is the guy.
Jae’din Thames, OLB, 2024
Thames was a workhorse on defense last season. He finished the year with 84 tackles. He is a guy that knows how to read offenses. I’m interested to see if he is going to play more on the inside next season. They are losing some guys on the defensive side of the football. This may cause us to see him playing more Mike than Sam or Will. Either way it goes, Thames is going to be ready. He comes from a long line of good talented athletes. He is a guy that we need to look out for next season.
