Here are five Tight Ends to keep an eye on in 2023!
In 2022, Tayvion helped the Chillicothe Cavaliers to a 7-win season and average 26.8 points per game. He lines up in the slot, inline and out wide. He does a good job of reading the coverage and shows good hands as he makes the catch with his hands away from his body. After the catch is made, he uses his very good play speed and athleticism to outrun Db and LB as he gains significant YAC before scoring a TD. He is a good run blocker as he effectively uses his solid play strength and physical toughness to generate movement at the point of attack against DB and LB as he creates a lane for the RB.
In 2022, Damarion helped the Glenville Tarblooders to an undefeated 15-0 season where they won the Division IV state championship and averaged 41.1 points per game. He lines up on the outside and inline. He is quick off the ball and uses his good play speed to get behind the CB on go routes. He tracks the ball well in the air and effectively catches the ball at its highest point as he makes the catch on a 50/50 ball. After the catch is made, he uses his excellent combination of power and speed as he breaks multiple tackles en route to a long touchdown reception. He is an excellent run blocker who generates good movement at the point of attack against LB with his very good play strength and physical toughness.
In 2022, Gavin’s very good play was a bright spot in the 4-7 season of the Olentangy Braves as he helped them average 22.4 points per game. He lines up inline, out wide and in the slot. He shows good hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem and separates from the DB. He shows very good hands as he makes the catch and uses his solid athleticism to score easily after the catch is made. He is a very good run blocker as he uses his great play strength to drive the OLB off the ball creating a hole for the RB to run through and score.

He displays very good football intelligence as he effectively reads the coverage and finds the soft spot in zone. He uses his body to box out DB before making the catch. He shows very good play speed and athleticism as he gains significant YAC after the catch is made. He is a quality run blocker as he plays to the whistle and displays very good physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake against OLB.
