There are a few guys that we can introduce you all to this year. We are going to start out with some skilled positions, and then go on to the trenches. Let’s check it out.
James Neville – QB – 5’10” 160 – Westside HS
I know Neville threw 13 interceptions last year but he’s only a freshman. This kid has a bright future. He gets the ball out quickly on short throws, with decisive throws and a quick release. Neville flashes the ability to go through progressions and manipulate defenders with his eyes. Very impressive velocity on his throws; has the arm strength to complete any type of pass, and is confident enough to throw into tight windows. He can throw the deep ball well and knows when to take something off of passes.
Jonaz Walton Jonaz Walton 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Central | 2026 State GA – RB – 5’9″ 190 – Central HS / @JonazWalton
Walton had an impressive freshman campaign. He’s an highly effective one-cut runner who shows the vision and patience to wait for things to develop before hitting the hole, showcasing solid explosiveness and deep speed. Very elusive player who has crisp footwork, makes sharp cuts and can make the first man miss.
Ty Cummings – RB – West Laurens HS / @Ty_Cummings9
Remember the name, Ty Cummings he runs with physicality and decisiveness, especially past the line of scrimmage. Does a nice job of fighting for additional yardage and finishing his runs by falling forward, showing consistent leg drive to generate yards after contact. Overall flexibility and balance are good. Can’t wait to see him ball out his sophomore season.
Nate Pearson – TE – New Hampstead HS
Pearson works hard to engage and stick with his man through the whistle. Generally does a good job of keeping his hands inside and driving his legs after contact; technique actually allows him to create an impressive push for a player of his size. Occasionally lined up split out in the slot, and looked good there. Good athlete who accelerates smoothly and has enough speed to threaten down the seams. Fundamentally sound route runner.
Keyon Thomas – QB – 5’10” – Westover HS / @QB1Keyon
I believe in Thomas. He threw for 888 yards and 6 TD’s his freshman campaign, as a freshman that’s pretty decent. Thomas throws a very catchable ball with a tight spiral and appropriate touch. Has enough arm strength to fit the ball into tight windows. Shows some ability to make anticipatory throws. The sky is the limit for this kid.
