Deshone Jenkins Jr.- Bishop Verot High
5’10 204lbs
Jenkins was sensational this season for Bishop Verot. Jenkins helped lead a high-powered offense to the state semifinals this season after rushing for 1,218 yards, averaging over 6 yards per carry with 14 rushing touchdowns and six 100 yard rushing games. He was also effective in the passing game with 9 catches for 158 yards. Jenkins stock is on the rise and will be one of the most highly touted rising sophomore prospects in Florida next season. He picked up his first offer in October from FAMU.
Strengths:
- Contact balance
- Natural receiving skills
- Shows the ability to change directions quickly
Kaleb Woods- Newberry High
6’0 185lbs
Woods was a major contributor for the Newberry Panthers in 2022. The freshman phenom led the team in rushing with 868 yards, averaging 7.7 yards per carry with nine rushing touchdowns and two 100 yard rushing games. He finished fourth on the team with 11 catches for 112 yards and one touchdown through the air. He helped out on the defensive side of the ball with 11 tackles and one interception.
Strengths:
- Good feet in the hole
- Feel for identifying cut back lanes
- Speed to break off long runs
Anthony Harris- Indian Rocks Christian
5’10 160lbs
Harris is a player to keep an eye on located in Largo, Florida. He burst onto the Pinellas County scene this season in a big way. The two-sport athlete (Basketball) rushed for 713 yards on 84 carries! He averaged over 8.5 yards per carry with 10 rushing touchdowns and three 100 yard rushing games. He was all so very effective in the passing game registering 12 catches for 227 yards and four touchdowns. He contributed on the defensive side of the ball with 22 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks.
Strengths:
- Can play multiple positions at a high level
- Sticks his foot in the ground and shows good burst and acceleration
- Vision
Ryon Smith- The First Academy
6’2 205lbs
Smith is a versatile back that was outstanding this season for the 8-3 First Academy. Smith led the Royals in rushing with 668 yards, averaging over 7 yards per carry with 4 rushing touchdowns and three 100 yard rushing games. Smith was also second on the team with 14 catches for 203 yards and two receiving touchdowns. He’s a two-way player and major contributor on the defensive side of the ball as well finishing with 63 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 1 int and 1 fumble recovery.
Strengths:
- Versatility/Excels on both sides of the ball
- Big back that runs behind his pads
- Can split out wide and shows natural pass catching skills
