Ewe deliver and you can ask any high school coach and player in this state what we continue to bring to the table.
Because Florida is such a large state filled with so many talented football prospects, take a step back and see who is there covering your teams and players 12 months a year. There is a simple answer to that question.
We start the new year with a look at five more prospects who are jumping into the spotlight:
2024 – Jaeden Franco, FS/Slot, 5-11, 165, Orange City University. One of those versatile football prospects who heads into his final season at the high school level with so much to offer. On the field, he can play up to five different positions in the secondary, on offense and as a special teams performer. In the classroom, he makes the process so much easier with his 3.5 GPA.
2024 – Mason Labrecque, OLB/QB, 6-0, 185, Tarpon Springs East Lake. Talk about an impact player, this versatile two-way prospect made a major impact on the defensive side of the ball for one of Florida’s best teams. During his junior season, he had 60 total tackles (37 solo) 2.5 sacks, 5 QB hurries, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass deflection. This is truly an impressive athlete who also gets it done in the classroom (4.2 GPA).
2025 – Parker Moss, OL, 6-3, 280, Orlando Olympia. Want someone to watch this off-season? Here is a fast-rising athlete who not only brings size and quickness to the table, but also is picking up plenty of technique and strength every day. He is not your average line prospect as he is also a baseball standout, who happens to hold down an impressive 3.5 GPA (Unweighted) in the classroom. This is a football player that you are going to want to keep your eye on over the next two years.
2026 – Jorden Woods, RB/CB/WR, 5-8, 155, Merritt Island. This is going to be one of those versatile football prospects who will get plenty of looks in the off season, Whether it’s as a running back, slot receiver, defensive backs or a return specialist, his speed and passion for this game puts him on a level where college coaches will have the opportunity to watch him develop for the next three years – and that is something that is very exciting for the Mustangs.
2025 – Preston Wright, QB, 6-2, 185, Ocala Trinity Catholic. If you look back to this year’s state championship season, here is one of those emerging football players who guided his Celtics to the title game – and the best thing about it is he will be back for two more seasons to help this program remain in the spotlight. As a starter, he was 7-1, missing a few games with an injury. During that time, he accounted for nearly 1,300 yards, and 11 touchdowns. He was 95 of 130 (74%). In addition, this is a serious baseball prospect, who has already turned heads. His 4.08 GPA is an enhancement to what he already brings to the table.
