Omarean Ellis, RB, Jackson Academy
Ellis didn’t see a lot of playing time last season. When he did he showed up and showed out. This guy is fast. He knows how to get up and down the field. When I watched his film I noticed that he is very elusive. He can changebdirections very well. Next season look for him to have a breakout year. He is going to help Jackson Academy advance deep in the playoffs.
Corxavier Coleman, LB, Louisville
Coleman finished with over 100 tackles. He isn’t the biggest guy on the field. He just knows how to get to the ball. Coleman is also very coachable. He is a guy that you can tell to do something and expect him to do it. He isn’t a guy that gives up easily. Coleman will rise in the rankings this year. He has been a starter for two seasons straight. He’s definitely a guy to keep your eyes on. I’m anxious to see how he continues to grow. That will determine the multiple different outcomes he can have in his recruiting process.
Decorey Knight, ATH, Vicksburg
Knight possesses a lot of skills. He is a guy that is well known around the South. He knows how to get open, he can play defense and he can return punts. This kid is going to rise in the rankings. He has all of the tools to be a nationwide talked about prospect. He definitely is a kid to keep up with. Vicksburg uses him to do a lot of different things. I think he is a slot receiver who can play running back. When they are at this age, it’s hard to do a lot of predictions. They still have a lot of growing to do. Nonetheless, Knight is that guy.
Hayes Caperton, OL, Winston Academy
Caperton is a big boy that knows how to block. He gets his job done. He locks in on his opponents and drives. Caperton is a very talented young man. During this time of the year he is preparing to knock baseballs from here to California. That shows you the athleticism he has to make it on the next level. Caperton can move his body very well. He has a lot of heart and grit. He also plays the game with a very high motor. Keep your eyes and ears open. He is a stud.
