Patrick Broomfield, DB, Clarksdale
Broomfield is a very good defensive back. He recently received an offer from Arkansas State. That was the first time a school pulled the trigger on him. I’m very confident it will not be the last. This young man knows how to ball in the secondary. He also does not mind coming up to make tackles. He is a player that needs to be kept up with. Broomfield has a long body. He also knows how to use his length in the secondary. I think we may see him get a power five offer soon.
Jermar McCarter Jermar McCarter 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Starkville | 2024 State MS , LB, Starkville
McCarter is a guy that I started to take a liking to when they played their last regular season game vs Grenada. This young man was all over the field making plays. He is a big time playmaker for their defense. McCarter does a great job in coverage. He has good hips that help him move around in zone coverage. He received his first offer from Arkansas State. McCarter will have a lot of more offers to roll in. He is a guy I love to watch. This kid is going to do big things. He is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker that will only get bigger. Size is going to help him succeed. However, he is already doing a great job.
Caleb Moore Caleb Moore 6'3" | 250 lbs | DL Oak Grove | 2024 State MS , DT, Oak Grove
Moore is a beast who has seen his recruiting take off this off-season. He is a 6-foot-3, 250-pound guy that brings the pain. He is definitely going to be a power five player. Moore has a lot of good attributes that help him succeed. He can handle his business on the field. He has long arms that keep blockers out of his face. Moore has a good takeoff from the line. He isn’t a stiff guy with size. He’s a guy that has size and carries himself well on the field. Moore is a stud.
Kenyar Hurt Kenyar Hurt 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Leflore County | 2024 State MS , DB, Leflore
Hurt is a guy who loves to be active in rush defense. He knows how to come up and make tackles. He is a linebackers best friend. Hurt received his first offer from Southwest Community College today. I expect to see more offers coming to this young man. He needs to make sure he is active in coverage as well. He needs to do that to make sure coaches see that he is versatile. Hurt is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound guy. That weight will come soon. He also needs to continue to keep his speed down pat. Keep your ears open for this young man.
