2023 Guys To Know in the Trenches

I have taken the time to get some good film study on guys who have shared their highlights with us. It is some good talent in Alabama. Last season he recorded over 80 tackles. He was a major force on their defense last season. He has long arms and uses them to shed blockers. Kemp also does a good job in their running game. He holds down his assignments, and he does not let many plays get outside. That's what you ask for in a good edge player. I think Kemp is a player we need to keep up with on the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Jeremiah Critton, Homer, OL</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Critton is a guy that plays the game with a lot of heart. He is very gritty and knows how to block. I love to see guys like him handling business in the trenches. He has several offers. He will be a kid that knows the game. I can see him being a coach in his future. He just knows how to move around in the trenches. He is low to the ground and has a lot of leg strength. I look forward to keeping up with his college career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='325994' first='Anthony' last='Mack'], DE, Huntsville </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mack is a long guy that knows how to use his body to his advantage. He has a high motor on the football field. I love the way he gets after the quarterback. He also knows how to contain the outside. Mack was a high energized bunny for his team. He is a guy that will help a team a lot. He doesn't mind being a force in the running game as well. That's how he makes a name for himself when the ball isn't thrown. He has committed to Kentucky Wesley. They are getting a very good player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='128189' first='Zane' last='Weeks'], EDGE, Florala </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Weeks had over 110 tackles last season. This guy knows how to set the edge. He also knows how to get after the quarterback. He also had over 22 tackles for loss. Weeks is a prospect that I like. I haven't seen him make a commitment to a college. However, I do think he is a guy to keep up with. He knows how to handle himself on the football field. He deserves to play college football.
