2021-2022 Mendenhall Tigers Review

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Mendenhall Tigers were exceptional this season as they finished the year with a 13-2 season and a ticket to the State Championship Game at Southern Miss. In almost every game the Tigers were dominant with their quick-hitting and efficient offense that produced over 445 points to their opponent's 130. This team is one that should be held in high regard as they will consistently compete for championships. James had over 2,100 yards passing and another 1,000 plus rushing. Tayton's versatility proves that he is certainly the athlete you want with the ball in his hands. Chung could be seen making tackles all over the field every Friday night. His play recognition is next level as he can quickly dissect blocking schemes and find the ball carrier for little to no gain. Chung is a great solid linebacker with top-tier potential and a big reason as how the Tigers held opponents to only 130 points for the season. His 6-0 frame makes a generous target which paired with his speed makes an elusive ball carrier. Once Marcus gets the ball in his hands he is sure to make a big time play and give his team the advantage. Dampier averaged over 7.5 tackles per game from his defensive tackle position. The intensity with which he played was evident as he collected multiple tackles for loss in addition to his 5.5 sacks.
