The Monarchs orchestrated a bit of a comeback after starting the season 0-3, finishing the season as a playoff team. One big contributor to the turnaround was LB [player_tooltip player_id='330331' first='Josh' last='Robles']. Robles finished as the team leader in tackles with 89 and added 11 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and an interception returned for a touchdown. Josh is a versatile linebacker that can line up as an inside or outside 'backer and even has potential as a box safety. He's a heads-up player that always seems to be at the right place at the right time. One thing that stands out from his tape is his effort. Robles looks like he's flying on every play whether he's chasing down RBs or pressuring QBs, he's always bringing it. He can make himself small enough to squeeze through creases and make tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Josh holds offers from Doane, Briar Cliff, Dakota Wesleyan, and St. Olaf but could still land a few more radars.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='330304' first='Treyven' last='Beckman'] stepped up big time in his first full season as QB1. This season Treyven passed for 2,105 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, and a 131 QBR all of which were school records. Throughout his record-breaking season, Treyven displayed underrated touch and ball placement on his throws. He had several good-looking passes over the middle of the field that hit his receiver perfectly in stride. His anticipation and timing on route concepts also stood out to me, as he did a great job leading his receivers toward the ball. Very smart QB that can exploit soft spots in defenses and deliver the ball right on the mark. He will make a college team very happy!

Riding a vicious rushing attack, the Grand Island Islanders found themselves in the final four of the Class A playoffs. Despite being a run-heavy team, the Islanders still found ways to get the ball into the hands of their athletic tight end, [player_tooltip player_id='238867' first='Cole' last='Thorne']. Thorne hauled in 30 receptions for 486 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Cole is an underrated pass catcher with excellent hands and the ability to stretch and maximize his huge catch radius. He is a solid YAC pass catcher with quick acceleration and a long stride to help him break away once he's secured the ball. He's a mismatch wherever you line him up, as he can take advantage of slower LB's or smaller DBs with his mix of size and athleticism. Cole isn't just a catching tight end, he'll get right into a defender's chest and block them into the dirt. Huge steal with lots of upside!

The Dragons fielded one of the toughest offensive lines in Class A. In the interior of the line was left (and sometimes right) guard [player_tooltip player_id='397810' first='Caden' last='Garcia'] who didn't just dominate in the trenches but did so on a torn ACL the whole season. Garcia is a very tough player that fights to the end of the play on every play. He utilizes his leverage very well and maintains a consistent pad level throughout the play. Even with the injury, Garcia didn't seem to struggle with his lateral and short-area burst at all. He moves well on pulling plays and can step up into the second level to continue blocking. On top of being physical, he's also a smart player that can react on the fly if things break down. Caden is still flying under the radar in recruiting and is still looking for his first offer.
