I haven't written a lot about North Dakota in my time covering the Dakotas (My apologies). I decided at one point in the offseason I would take a quick sweep through the State and familiarize myself with some teams and athletes. In honor of Early Signing Day, I will mention the top prospects remaining in North Dakota in Class 2023. I have noticed that North Dakota is a very talent rich state in terms of football. There are many college programs in North Dakota that do a great job recruiting the area as well. Here are my Top remaining North Dakota prospects in 2023.

[player_tooltip player_id='395464' first='Jaxon' last='Kellogg']- Bismarck Legacy LB, Highlights

After watching Kellogg at the Showcase a couple weeks ago and then watching his film, I'm still in awe. He has two offers at the Division 2 level which would be a perfect fit for him. Watching his tape, I liked how he moved on the field. When taking on block, he is very quick to shoot through the gap and make the play. He also has agility to side-step the blocker and still get to his gap and make a play.

[player_tooltip player_id='56575' first='Carl' last='Henry']- Bismarck Legacy RB, Highlights

Henry was also in attendance at the showcase and stood out in many ways. I liked his film a lot more because he a lot of fun to watch with the football. His explosion making cuts is very impressive, and can jump to top speed in a hurry when he gets out of them. He does a great job dishing out contact when running the ball and really drives his knees through contact. I also like his patience in letting the blocks develop and then attacking the gap.

[player_tooltip player_id='277668' first='Trey' last='Heinrich']- Kindred RB, Highlights

Heinrich is very smooth with the football. His running form is very smooth and effective, helping him show his speed. He is a north-and-south runner for sure, doesn't waste any time getting up field and gaining yards. I liked his vision in traffic, he found the smallest gaps and exploding through them to really break the play open. I liked his physicality when he needed to break a tackle for a big play, he used speed a lot, but he can get physical too.

[player_tooltip player_id='418250' first='Vegas' last='George']- Bismarck Legacy DL, Highlights

George was another fun one to watch at the showcase. His film was just as entertaining. He was an offensive nightmare blitzing off the edge. I liked how he attacked the offensive line off the snap and rushed his way into the backfield. He took great angles to keep contain, but also make tackles. If the blocker got his hands on him, he took the blocker with him into the ballcarrier. I also liked how he attacked the football when he got to the QB.

[player_tooltip player_id='242547' first='Peter' last='Dryburgh']- Hillsboro/Central Valley TE/DL, Offense, Defense

Dryburgh really took pride in blocking for the RB's. He had excellent technique, both out of the three-point stance and stalk-blocking. His footwork was some of the best I've seen when climbing levels on the defense and in the open field. He does not stop grinding until the whistle. Defensively, his blinding speed off the edge was killer for an offense. The QB had little to no time to get the ball off before he was bringing them down. His hand technique was also excellent when engaging and shedding blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='89290' first='Hudson' last='Flom']- Grand Forks Red River DB, Highlights

Flom is fun to watch in the defensive secondary. He may seem a little undersized, but he is a bulldog out there. I like his peripheral vision, seeing any and all receivers in his zone. His positioning in his zone was perfect on each play, keeping him in prime position to make the play. I liked his speed when he'd break on a pass or a ballcarrier, and how he'd carry it through the end of the play.In my opinion, his 'it' factor is his physicality and ferociousness when making tackles.
