The OAA Blue was an underappreciated league this year! This league had lots of talent, great competition, and of course, seniors that absolutely dominated. In this article, I'll be highlighting three seniors that made a massive difference for their team!

DE/OL | [player_tooltip player_id='232205' first='John' last='Jokisch'] | Seaholm

Jokisch is a player who's taken strides in his game year after year. He's shown significant improvement this year when compared to last year, which says a ton about his trajectory moving forward. An all-state player this year, Jokisch was a dominant pass rusher and run defender. Against the poorer tackles in Seaholm's schedule, Jokisch absolutely dominated. At 6'3" 232, Joksich is a bigger body that is strong as an ox. His size and strength allowed him to outmuscle offensive lines and be a great O-Lineman himself. He's earned himself a PWO from Michigan and an offer from Army. I think Jokisch deserves more Division 1 attention, but no matter where he goes, he has an opportunity to improve significantly.

QB | [player_tooltip player_id='411888' first='Dominic' last='Pesci'] | Farmington

Pesci has always had great potential, and we saw some of that come to light this season. The 6'6" quarterback is a brilliant pocket passer with a rifle of an arm. He's one of the better quarterbacks when it comes to remaining calm in the pocket while having consistently good footwork. You can truly see the ceiling in his game, and he'll be a good quarterback, likely at the DIII level. With academic all-state honors, he'll have no problem getting into any school he wants!

ATH | [player_tooltip player_id='30347' first='Darius' last='Whiteside'] II | Troy

Whiteside has been a diamond on a Troy team that did not meet expectations. Whiteside is a playmaker who plays in all three phases and was the best player whenever he was on the field. On special teams, he had an electrifying FG block for a TD and a punt return TD. Offensively, he was Troy's most reliable receiver, and honestly, no DB in the OAA Blue could cover him. Defensively, he's as lockdown as they come. Seriously, Whiteside was the best WR and DB in the OAA Blue!
