Top Georgia Prospects Make College Commitment

<p>For most players in Georgia, the high school season is over, and for the senior, and even younger players, it's time to make big decisions about their recruitment.</p>   <p>This week we saw multiple top players in Georgia make their commitments to D1 programs.</p>   <p>Who are they?</p>   <p>Let's take a look...</p>   <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='326284' first='Jamal' last='Meriweather'] - OT - Brunswick</strong></p>   <p>Flip season has started in the 2033 cycle, and one of the best offensive line prospects in Georgia flipped his commitment this week from UCF to the home-state Georgia Bulldogs. A long, lean offensive tackle at 6-foot-6 320-pounds, thee three-star out of Brunswick and has length for days, making it easy to see his potential at the next level. He's coming off a big senior season where he opened up running lanes all season long, and when he had the green light to commit to Georgia, he took advantage of it. The Rabun County star committed to Virginia this week, giving the Cavaliers a sure-handed receiver who can get open on his own. He's an excellent route runner, a vertical threat, and someone who can pick up big yards after the catch. This past season, Gibson caught 109 passes for 1,950 yards and an impressive 29 touchdowns. A long athlete at 6-foot-3, he's tough, quick to the ball, and has natural instincts in coverage. He's mature beyond his years and already becoming a leader for a very talented Buford defense. He's ranked as thee No. 7 prospect in Georgia for the 2025 class and his stock is still rising. He's smart, technically sound, and knows how to make a play on the ball. He's a physical defender who knows how to make a secure tackle in the open field, but his ability to hold down his side of the field in coverage is why he's headed to play in the best conference in college football.
