This DB is a big fast playmaker, this season he showed his explosiveness on the offensive side of the ball taking the top off of defenses. He had a hand full of interceptions, breaking on the ball downhill and high pointing the deep ball down field. Lanes’ popularity will continue to grow over the off season, he has the potential to be a top recruit in the nation.
Highlights
Moore has some catching up to do since being injured all 2023 but his athleticism and skill keep him at the top of his class. He’s an athlete that can contribute to all aspects of an offense, passing, rushing and receiving. He is a threat at any position offensively, he passes well on the run, is elusive in open field and makes contested catches by attacking the ball. He is an all-around offensive weapon. His return in 2023 should be entertaining.
Highlights
The MIAA All Conference running back rushed for 1449 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023. He is a very physical back who a hassle to take down. He fights and claws for every yard and is always falling forward. Already at 6’0 205lbs Madison will be a college ready prospect physically. His running style is perfect for the Archbishop Curley offense, expect Madison to be successful yet again next season.
Highlights
Newsom is a lengthy DB who uses his long arms to play through the hands. He runs a 4.5 40 and has the hips to open up and run stride for stride with receivers. In run support he’s a solid tackler, that keeps a low pad level. Lookout for Newsome to emerge as a leader on the Cardinals defense over this off season.
Pond is the real deal when it comes to kicking already getting interest from a few power five schools. This season Pond averaged 41 yards per punt with a longest of 66 yards. That leg power translates to field goals too, his record so far in game is 42 yards vs Concordia Prep this season and John Carrol last season. He made 11-12 Extra points and 5-6 field goals scoring a total of 26 points this season.
