Seaholm had a season of high highs and low lows. Most of their season came with steamrolling the opposition; overall, they outscored their opponents 380-177. Though after a red-hot 7-0 start, they went 1-3 in their final four games. Although the Maples ended poorly, there is a lot of good to take from this season.

I'm delighted to see vast improvement from Jokisch this season as compared to previous seasons. During last offseason, I wasn't sure if he was going to slim down and to try and be a bit more agile or continue to bulk up while gaining more muscle. He chose the ladder, and his work showed this season. He's listed 6'3", 232lbs on Hudl, and that's all good weight. Defensively, he was borderline unblockable, with elite strength and much-improved block shedding moves. He also started at offensive tackle and was a top-tier lineman on that side of the ball. Being a two-way player on both D and O lines should tell you a lot about his conditioning. No surprise that Jokish was chosen for the All-State team. Jokisch deserves more D1 offers. He's good enough to get scholarship offers in the MAC, and I know there's some Power 5 interest.

It's not easy being a Veer quarterback, but Colton played the position well. Most importantly, he didn't turn the ball over, and he didn't slow down throughout the game. In typical veer fashion, Colton ran the ball a ton and was not afraid of engaging in contact to gain extra yards. He wasn't asked to pass the ball much, but when he needed to, he was solid. It's difficult to truly judge his passing ability because of the style of offense, but I know he puts in great off-season work to improve in that regard. From what I hear and what I've seen, he's a good leader. His competitiveness is fierce, and I know he'll work his tail off to improve throughout the offseason. I feel that Colton will play to his full potential next season. I know it's immensely difficult to get offers as a veer QB (Just look at [player_tooltip player_id='241265' first='Parker' last='Picot']), but if Colton shows significant improvement next season, he'll be suited for D2 or MAC football.

I love what Robbins offers as an athlete. He's shifty out of the slot and a great returnman, but his primary position is safety. As a safety, he's a hard-hitting ballhawk. He reacts well to the opposing offense, and generally is where he needs to be in passing situations. If the ball is thrown anywhere near Kyle, his first instinct is to make a play on the ball. This often works out as he has multiple impressive interceptions that look like fabulous WR catches. Although, I sometimes think he's a little too aggressive, as some better-placed throws would have given Robbins some trouble. He needs to know when to be aggressive and when to play it safe, but it's not too much of an issue now. His aggressiveness translates to the run game, as he's a good tackler and can sometimes lay the wood. High upside player with a D1 ceiling.

The Maples should be great next season. If the OAA Blue stays the same, they'll be favored to win it. No matter their schedule next season, they're a playoff team. They lose most of their offensive and defensive line due to graduation, and Jokisch is a major part of the trenches they'll sorely miss. Skill positions are where Seaholm will continue to thrive, as their starting QB, RBs, Slot are all returning, plus most of their receiving core. I believe most of their DBs are returning, and [player_tooltip player_id='253292' first='Granden' last='Kinnie'] returns as a great linebacker. As long as a few 1st-year Varsity players can perform well, Seaholm will be great.
