In Round 3 of the UIL Texas high school football playoffs, on Friday, November 25th I saw The Atascocita Eagles vs The Ridge Point Panthers. Both teams were playing at a high-level both are top 10 teams in Houston. Throughout the whole game, it was competitive despite the weather. Then with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, the score was 33-24 Atascocita was in the lead the game was delayed due to a lightning warning. The game was delayed for a whole hour almost reaching the time of midnight. After the delay, Atascocita furthered their lead and reached a final score of 47-24. Even though they lost and are done for the season The Ridge Point Panthers had a great offensive athlete and formation.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id='241714' first='Ezell' last='Jolly'] RB, WR Sr 6'0 180 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id='241714' first='Ezell' last='Jolly'] is a speedy running back. Even being on a more focused passing offense Ezell was still a strong runner whenever he was able to tote the rock. Ezell would occasionally go into motion and line up as a wide receiver and excel at the position spreading apart Atascocita's defense by them having to put a defensive back on him. Ezell is a top college prospect having numerous college and university offers from; Baylor University, University of Colorado, University of Houston, Tulane University, Boston College, and Colorado State University to name a few. Ezell's stats was one touchdown.

#8 Ashton Bethel-Roman WR, FS, CB Jr 6'2 170 lbs

Ashton Bethel-Roman is an extremely fast wide receiver. Ashton was exposing Atascocita's defensive secondary they couldn't cover or stop him at all. Ashton could catch any pass thrown to him no matter how many defenders were covering him. Ashton had a miraculous catch being covered by 2 defenders while diving for the ball I was surprised he was able to catch it. Ashton is a stellar athlete I'm looking forward to seeing how much he improves for his senior year. Ashton currently has college offers from two big-name universities; the University of Tulsa and Texas Tech University. Ashton's stats were 4 receptions with 200 passing yards and one 92-yards touchdown.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id='150516' first='Mason' last='Dossett'] RB, WR Jr 6'1 175 lbs

Another standout wide receiver on Ridge Points' roster is [player_tooltip player_id='150516' first='Mason' last='Dossett']. Mason has a lot of great wide receivers traits he is reliable, fast, and efficient. Mason could easily turn on the jets to beat out defenders and get wide-open for passes. Mason and Ashton were a double threat having versatile wide receivers on the left and ride side Austin Carlisle Ridge Points' quarterback had many options in passing the ball. Mason currently has college offers from two big-name universities; the University of Arizona and Baylor University. Mason's stats were one touchdown.

#19 Austin Carlisle QB So 5'10 175 lbs

Austin Carlisle is a phenomenal quarterback. Not only did Austin have a powerful arm with great precision he wasn't afraid to take risks and thread the needle with some of his passes. Austin a good amount of times made difficult passes while under pressure to his wide receivers trusting in their ability to catch any pass. High-caliber wide receivers like [player_tooltip player_id='150516' first='Mason' last='Dossett'] and Ashton Bethel-Roman were up to the challenge and were able to catch these tough passes. Austin is only in his sophomore and with his best wide receivers being juniors I would see how the Ridge Point offense improves by next season. Austin's stats were 3 touchdown passes.
