Every prospect won’t all be getting offers at the same time. Some guys have to go prove themselves and that is fine. Here are some guys that I think will have a great offseason at camps.
Anson Lewis Jr, Columbia, WR, 2025
Lewis is a player that I love to watch. He’s a big receiver that can run like a deer. Lewis didn’t have a ten touchdown thousand yard season, but he showed a lot of great things. Lewis has the size to possibly have coaches entertaining him playing defense on the college level. With him being just a sophomore the sky is the limit. His skills at receiver are good and will continue to get better. He needs to use this offseason to become faster as well as a more fluent route runner. His quarterback is in the class of 2025. They will both have a lot of time to grow together. This off-season is going to be his chance to make a very big name for himself.
Raheem Vance Raheem Vance 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB Olive Branch | 2024 State MS , QB, Olive Branch, 2024
Vance is a prospect who we know is going to work extra hard this off-season. He does not have any offers yet, but that is going to change. When you watch this kid’s film you see very great things. He can make all the throws that you need a quarterback to make. He has the size and speed to run the read option very well. He is a gamer that wants to win. Surround this kid with great talent and watch what he does. He has a very good work ethic, and stays watching film learning the game. He has a quick release. He also knows how to put his receivers in the right position to make big plays. This should be the time for him to hit camps and show what he is made of. Kid deserves to have some offers rolling in.
Lekih Freeman Lekih Freeman 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB Saltillo | 2024 State MS , CB, Saltillo, 2024
Freeman is a guy that has not been able to show his talent on a big stage just yet. Take my word, and understand that he is a nice cornerback. He knows how to cover, and get the job done. He is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound kid that has a big heart. He plays with confidence, and he has a nice swag on the field. Freeman also does not mind coming up making tackles. He needs to use this off-season to show off his cover in order to get on coaches’ radar. He can compete with a lot of the best prospects across the state. He has good speed, and he can move his hips well. He is a guy that will continue to develop his game.
Kylin Champagne Kylin Champagne 5'11" | 205 lbs | RB Oak Grove Highschool | 2025 State MS , RB, Oak Grove, 2025
Champagne is a smooth runner that glides on the field. He also is tough, and loves to get his yards in the heart of the defense. This kid is going to be able to use this off-season to show off his skills. Champagne is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect from Oak Grove that knows how to keep the chains moving. He has very good balance, and he is not easily brought down. He’s not a guy that you are going to be able to arm tackle. He knows how to get skinny between the tackles without doing too much tiptoe moves. He is a guy that finds his hole, and hits it hard. I think many coaches will start to notice Champagne this off-season. He’s a natural stud that will only continue to get better.
