The best part of the football game is the trenches if you are genuinely a football enthusiast. Watching another human being move another and not on his own will is impressive. The skill it takes to play up front on both sides of the ball is built through grit and toughness, so remember, folks, always take care of your lineman. This collection of monsters is some of the best in the region and will make a huge impact next fall.
Cannings is one of the best defensive linemen in Ohio, and he demonstrated that to be true in 2022. Michael has a unique combination of skills that allows him to play with finesse and power, which enables him to make many plays behind the line of scrimmage. Earning first-team All-State in football this season will turn some heads to check out this 2024 prospect. Cannings is 6’2, weighs 270 lbs, and has cat-like reflexes that even earned him props from Luke Montgomery Luke Montgomery 6’4″ | 295 lbs | OL Findlay | 2023 State OH as his most formidable competition in high school. Expect to see Cannings gain some traction this offseason, as he is a standout on the mats for Central Catholic too.
Highlights
Carter Lowe Carter Lowe 6’6″ | 290 lbs | OL Whitmer | 2025 State OH is a must-see football player in NW, Ohio. Carter is one of the better class of 2025 offensive linemen in the state of Ohio, and the offers speak to that too. Standing at 6’6, he is hard to miss in a crowd, and on the football field, he makes everyone say, whos that? Athletic and quickness are things you want from an LT, and Carter is a prospect with many upsides. As he grows into an offensive lineman, he could find himself getting offers from the blue blood of college football sooner than later. This off-season will be enormous for Lowe, and he has to continue to develop in the weight room as that would be the next jump in his game.
Kendric Bankston
Kendric Bankston
Bankston is the glue of the Toledo Central Catholic offensive line, not because he is the center. Standing at 5’11 260 lbs, he knows how to use his leverage to get under the defender’s pads and is willing to finish the blocks. Kendric is open to contact and does a great job communicating upfront. On one of the best offensive lines in the state, he stands out on film with his tenacity and toughness. Kendric has a 3.1 GPA and will undoubtedly be a scholarship football player, and he has a good bloodline of athletes in his lineage. When watching TCC, watch how #51 dominate in the interior.
Andrew is flying under the radar as he is one of the most underrated big men around. Standing at 6’6 285 lbs, he had a solid outing alongside Toledo commit Grant Zimmerly Grant Zimmerly 6’4″ | 275 lbs | OL Perrysburg | 2023 State OH . Boden is athletic for his size and has room to improve his quickness which would make him stand out in a big way this coming college camp season. He is very productive in the run game as he double teams well and rarely gets pushed backward. He is aggressive and nasty and wants to finish blocks, Division one prospect for sure, IMO.
