<p>I was on the sidelines for the 4A Eastern Regional Finals that featured New Bern high-powered running attack and Millbrook's high-powered passing attack. New Bern has the top running game in the state and Millbrook has the top passing game in the state. The defensive units are two of the best in the state. The listed players performances caught my attention throughout the game.</p>

<p><strong>New Bern</strong></p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='146539' first='Damaree' last='Tucker'] - QB, 6'1" 185</strong>. Damaree displayed calmness in directing the offensive unit throughout the game. He did a great job in quickly handing off to one of the running backs. Damaree is exceptionally quick and displays speed when he decides to tuck it and run to gain yardage. He delivered one medium-range pass for a TD.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='290618' first='Aronne' last='Herring'] - RB, 5'10" 175 (No. 7 RB, No. 37 Overall)</strong>. Arone displayed great speed and great acceleration to move past defenders once he finds an open lane to gain yardage. He displayed good vision and balance while following blockers to find an open lane. Arone is a threat to score once in the open field. </p>

<p><strong>Jayden Wallace - RB, 5'7" 155</strong>. Jayden displayed great speed and great acceleration to move past defenders once he finds an open lane to gain yardage. He is slashing-style runner who is a threat to score once in the open field.</p>

Dylan displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He used upper body strength and quickness while controlling defenders on the running plays. Dylan is the leader and anchor of the offensive line.</p>

Mason displayed accuracy on short range passes completed throughout the game. He completed 18 of 44 passes for 243 yards, 1 TD, and 2 interceptions. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='345338' first='Xavier' last='Pugh'] - RB, 5'10" 195 (No. 36 DB, No. 343 Overall)</strong>. He plays on both sides of the ball for his team. Xavier displayed toughness and good balance while running inside for yards. He followed blockers while looking for an open lane to accelerate past defenders for big yardage. Xavier is a durable running back who gains yards inside and running outside in the open field. He finished the game with 27 carries for 132 yards and 1 TD. Xavier had 5 receptions for 51 yards for a 10.2 yards per reception average.</p>

He averaged 15.8 yards per reception in the game.</p>
