New Bern has the top running game in the state and Millbrook has the top passing game in the state. The defensive units are two of the best in the state. The listed players performances caught my attention throughout the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>New Bern</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='44971' first='KJ' last='Sampson'] - DT, 6'4" 285 (No. 1 DL, No. 2 Overall)</strong>. KJ displayed great technique and great use of hands to control blockers as he moved quickly past them for stops. Despite being double - teamed on every play, he displayed quickness and upper body strength to fight through the blocking schemes used against him. There were a few plays where he quickly moved past blockers before they could attempt to contain him. The Florida State commit is a disruptor of opposing offenses, often sacking the quarterback, forcing hurried passes, and making tackles for losses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='304871' first='Will' last='Brimmer'] - DE, 6'3" 200 (No. 28 DL, No. 167 Overall)</strong>. Will displayed quickness out of his stance to make contact with blockers while moving past them for stops. Jamir displayed quickness out of his stance to make contact with blockers while moving past them for stops. Taevion displayed good technique and good use of hands to control blockers as he moved past them for stops. He moved well in tight spaces to stop inside running plays for loss of yards.
