Michigan Stock Up Showcase: QB Stock Risers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Sunday December 18th, 2022, a lot of talented Gun- Slingers from all over the State of Michigan showed up and showed out at Premier Sports Center in Shelby Township. Some of the top QB prospects in their class showed what everyone already knows about them, but here's a list of QBs that gave them a run for their money and proved their names should be on scouts radar. Here's a list of QBs that stock climbed after Sunday's showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='251325' first='Jacob' last='Tuttle']- Notre Dame Prep 2024</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='251325' first='Jacob' last='Tuttle'] might be the dark horse QB for the class of 2024. A QB that might not have the hype around his name as his peers (yet) but absolutely puts on a teaching clinic every time I see him throw. Tuttle is a strong built field general that has great feet in the pocket, very accurate in the short game and has beautiful touch on his long ball. Tuttle is coming off a very impressive junior campaign where he threw for 1500 yards with 22 TDs, and ran for 5 TDs. The 2nd Team All-State QB is posed to really have a great off season, and start gaining some real attention from college scouts. Watch out for Tuttle to really impress people this winter during 7v7, as he makes all the right reads and really understand the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='207193' first='Alek' last='Wickstrom']- GR Christian 2024</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wickstrom is an absolute killer under center. The 6 foot gun slinger put up some great number last fall in only 7 games. Passing for 1200 yards, 11 TDs and a 66% completion rate. Alek has great timing, good accuracy and stands tall in the pocket. The 2024 had a lot of impressive reps at the showcase Sunday, by understanding the leverage of his defenders and throwing his receivers opens when the windows were small. Alek is one of those kids that can really make a splash this off season and take his game to the next level. GR Christian has a dude at QB, it's time for him to put the State on notice.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='216986' first='Tyler' last='Herzog']- Avondale 2024</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tyler is a QB that I hadn't got the chance to see throw in person until Sunday. The dude is a straight up jock. I got a chance to check out his highlight film before the event and was blown away by the big play ability Herzog brings on Friday Nights. Tyler showed a quick release on his short game, and great pose on slow developing concepts on Sunday. The dude seems to see the game in slow motion which is something you can't teach. Tyler looks like a great fit in a system that really uses the play action pass game, as he forces the safeties to play up because of his running ability. Tyler has earned him a spot on my radar, and I'm excited to see what his does this off season and next fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
