Greenwood Bulldogs Season Conclusion

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Greenwood Bulldogs concluded their Season just coming up short in the 6A State Championship game losing to the Pulaski Academy Bruins by a score of 42-35. The Bulldogs finished the season with an 11-3 record. The Bulldogs had multiple providers to a great season. Offensively they were led by Senior Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='160308' first='Hunter' last='Houston'] who passed for 3,687 yards and 32 touchdowns while rushing for another 10 touchdowns. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The rushing attack was led by Senior Runningback [player_tooltip player_id='214772' first='Jake' last='Glover'] who rushed for 866 yards and 12 touchdowns and 2 touchdowns receiving. The receiving core was led by Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='191634' first='Grant' last='Karnes'] who caught 96 passes for 1,297 yards and 16 touchdowns while also returning one kickoff for a Touchdown. Also contributing to the receiving core was Junior [player_tooltip player_id='149593' first='LJ' last='Robins'] who caught 83 passes for 1,050 yards and 14 touchdowns. Senior Aiden Keenon caught 67 passes for 743 yards and 1 touchdown. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Junior [player_tooltip player_id='825889' first='Peyton' last='Presson'] caught 50 passes for 555 yards and 3 touchdowns in 10 games. [player_tooltip player_id='825890' first='Noah' last='Chaser'] a Junior caught 25 passes for 264 yards and Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='221709' first='Isaiah' last='Arrington'] caught 22 passes for 260 yards and 4 touchdowns. The offensive line was solid with Senior's Cooper Young, Hayden Webb and Juniors Ryan Shorte, [player_tooltip player_id='626991' first='Christian' last='Fleming'], Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='364854' first='Cody' last='Taylor'] and Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='627050' first='Ashton' last='Stein']. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The defense was led by Senior Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='456764' first='Evan' last='Williams'] who had 165 tackles and 16 tackles for losses with one interception returned 90 yards for a touchdown. Junior Brady Mackey had 143 tackles and 9 tackles for losses. [player_tooltip player_id='481762' first='Tanner' last='McKusker'] racked up 44 tackles and one sack this season. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='383071' first='Storm' last='Scherrey'] had 108 tackles and 6 interceptions. While Junior's Josh Allen had 90 tackles, [player_tooltip player_id='588686' first='Kaleb' last='Garner'] had 86 tackles and 15 tackles for losses. Brady Pettigrew had 78 tackles with 12 tackles for losses.
