Game Changers: Stock Up Showcase Testing Stars

The Prep Redzone Illinois Stock Up Showcase was held in Barrington on Thursday.  We have a ton of coverage coming from the event.  Here we examine the Game Changers: Stock Up Testing Stars from the running back, wide receiver, and defensive back positions.

RB Noah Battle Noah Battle 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Downers Grove North | 2024 IL (Downers Grove North – 2024)

Battle checks in at 5’11” 180 pounds with a strong build with speed running a 4.62 in the 40. Downhill one cut runner that also has some shake in the open field making opponents miss.  Capable as a pass catcher displaying decent hands.

RB Denim Riley Denim Riley 5'4" | 150 lbs | RB Hillcrest | 2024 IL (Hillcrest – 2024)

Scat back on the smaller side at 5’4” that ran a 4.6 40.  Then would go on to show that in the positional drills with his fluidness, pass catching, and ability to get around defenders.

RB Erimus Wright Erimus Wright 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Hillcrest | 2025 State IL (Hillcrest – 2025)

Yet another Hillcrest running back.  Wright has a strong build at 5’11” while showing he can be effective in the passing game along with being a factor in the open field.

RB Connor Vanselow Connor Vanselow 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB Wauconda | 2024 State IL (Wauconda – 2024)

This 6’0” Wauconda running back ran a sweet 4.8 40 in the early portion of the day.  Like his potential as a multi down back.

WR Ethan Mccarter Ethan Mccarter 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Dekalb | 2023 IL (Dekalb – 2023)

McCarter was consistent running a 4.8 40 twice.  Good size at 6’0” along with solid hands and crisp route running.

WR Luke Mailander Luke Mailander 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR York | 2024 State IL (York – 2024)

One of the best 40s of the day.  Mailander lit it up with a 4.6 40 yard dash while standing at 6’0” 175 pounds.

WR Charlie Cruse Charlie Cruse 6'1" | 205 lbs | WR Downers Grove North | 2025 State IL (Downers Grove North – 2025)

Nice showing from this bigger receiver who stands at 6’1” 170 pounds and he showed well in the 40 going for 4.81.  Has some versatility to play multiple receiver spots and maybe grow into a tight end.

WR Colton Hess Colton Hess 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Crystal Lake South | 2024 IL (Crystal Lake South – 2024)

Hess ran a 4.7 40 at 6’4 185 pounds which is an outstanding time at that size.  Receiver to track into his senior season.

DB Daniel Pere Daniel Pere 5'8" | ATH Metea valley | 2024 IL (Metea Valley – 2024)

Liked what we saw from Pere beginning with his speed at 4.6 along with his change of direction and ability to play the ball.

DB Jayden Marshall Jayden Marshall 5'11" | 150 lbs | DB Crete-Monee | 2026 State IL (Crete Monee – 2026)

This freshman tested very well throughout the camp including running an impressive 4.7 40.  Bright future for the DB who at 5’11” has projectable tools.

DB Andre Lovett Andre Lovett 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB Eisenhower | 2025 State IL (Dwight Eisenhower – 2025)

Lovett was one of the top prospects in the camp.  The athlete who says he wants to play safety in college ran a 4.8 40 yard dash.  In the positional drills he showed fluidity, athleticism, and feel for finding the ball.  The 2025 won DB MVP!
