Louisville has eleven state championships with seven different coaches. That is saying a lot. Here is four of their key players for next season.
Xavier Hunt, QB, 2025
Hunt was the man to start off this footballseason. He did a very great job, but coaches felt it was safer to go with Jackson. However, next season Hunt is going to be the man. He will be the guy who will be calling the signals for the Wildcats. I think that he will still play at a very high level. Let’s not forget he defeated the 5A runner ups, West Point on West Point’s home field. This kid is special and deserves to be talked about. I think next year he is going to have a great season.
Jykevious Goss, WR/RB, 2024
Goss is a playmaker that Louisville loves to have. He is a gritty guy who can get in his opponents’ heads. I love the way he approaches the game every Friday night. He can catch the ball out of the backfield. He also does a great job of running routes and getting open. This is a guy that was very clutch for his team for the state championship. I can’t wait to watch him play next season.
Cameron Skeen, C, 2026
Skeen lead this offensive line as a freshman. That is something you don’t see often when you go to a Louisville game. He was a general in that department all season. You can’t just mention him, and not talk about the rest of the line. However, he was a guy that understood everybody’s assignments. He is a guy that a lot of people would want on their team. He can help on double teams, and recognize blitzes that need to be picked up. If he continues to get taller he will be a division one prospect.
Kendon Sanders Kendon Sanders 5'9" | 200 lbs | LB Louisville | 2024 State MS , ATH, 2024
This is a country boy that knows how to handle business. I love the way he can play defense, but he also plays running back in their jumbo package. Sanders is a stud that lays big blows on both sides of the football. He isn’t that tall, but he is very muscular. He reads keys very well, and knows how to step up to make big hits. I think that he has a chance to be a linebacker on the next level. He will be one of those guys that will be intimidating for running backs. He loves to hit the weightroom. A lot of coaches say that he is very coachable. Keep an eye out for Sanders.
