December 2022 Update: 2024 New Additions

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Earlier in the week, we at Prep Redzone Arkansas did an update of the class of 2024 rankings. With those rankings we always have new additions that are added to the list after a strong season or in some cases offseason. Today we are going to take a look at the newcomers for the December update of the 2024 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='411132' first='Jaxson' last='Brust']-Wide Receiver-Bentonville West-5'10” 170-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bentonville West Wolverines always do a great job of producing quality prospects at the wide receiver position. Brust is a tremendous route runner. He is crisp when it comes to running his routes and uses his speed well to create separation from opposing defensive backs. What will stick out on the film is his ability to haul in difficult receptions. Brust has good hands and will not drop passes. I look for the Bentonville West wide receiver to have a big 2023 football season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='403345' first='Robert' last='Dover']-Defensive Line-Mountain Home-6'4” 220-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='403345' first='Robert' last='Dover'] had an extremely impressive 2022 football season for the Mountain Home Bombers. Dover uses his speed well to defeat blocks and get into the offensive backfield. What impresses me the most is that he is not just focused on getting to the quarterback he can and will shut down the rushing game. His 6'4” height makes it tough for quarterbacks, he will bat the ball down if he cannot get into the backfield. Dover has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='522444' first='Khaleb' last='Smith']-Defensive Line-Camden Fairview-6'2” 264-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='522444' first='Khaleb' last='Smith'] is a versatile defensive lineman for Camden Fairview. He has the unique mix of power and speed and will use both to defeat blocks. Smith is impressive when it comes to disrupting the opposing offensive rushing attack. Meanwhile, he is a defensive tackle that can rush the quarterback and create plenty of havoc in the process. I expect Smith to have another strong season in 2023 and he is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='521087' first='Ezra' last='Phillips']-Wide Receiver-Fort Smith Northside-5'11” 175-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Northside Grizzlies never seem to be at a shortage of talented wide receivers. [player_tooltip player_id='521087' first='Ezra' last='Phillips'] is a wide receiver that does a great job of getting open for his quarterback. He is a smooth route runner that uses his speed well to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Phillips can work the deep routes or run the shorter patterns with equal effectiveness. He has the potential to put up some big numbers in 2023. Keep an eye on Phillips he has the talent to play on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='528511' first='Eric' last='McGehee']-Quarterback-Little Rock Parkview-5'11” 162-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Little Rock Parkview signal caller opened plenty of eyes this season. McGehee is a quarterback that has a strong arm. More importantly, he is extremely accurate and can fit the football into some tight windows. Meanwhile, he does a great job of being able to use his legs to get out of the pocket and pick up yards on the ground. McGehee is one prospect that I expect to have a big 2023 football season. He is a young man with the potential to play on Saturdays in the future and up until then he is going to cause opposing defenses plenty of headaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
