A few of these prospects hold lower level offers but are still waiting on the Division one level to come through. We took an in-depth look at the Top three!
Henry Brodnax – QB – Trinity Christian High School
- Sees the field very well when the play breaks down and occasionally changes plays at the line.
- Smart QB who limits interceptions by rarely forcing the ball into coverage. Takes what the defense gives him
- Good accuracy overall, including excellent accuracy on short timing routes to backs and receivers, placing the ball slightly in front to lead receivers to potential yardage after the catch.
- Good zip and ball placement on the quick slant. Good touch down the seam and on post-corner.
Cody Brinson – CB – Benedictine High School
- Brinson can flip his hips and run, with good top-end speed and the length to make plays on the ball.
- Can track the ball downfield and gets his head around when playing in a trail position, and Brinson shows excellent ball skills when breaking on a route. He’s a plus tackler in run support as well.
- Has quick feet and excellent change-of-direction ability, capable of mirroring quickness underneath.
- Has a powerful punch at the line of scrimmage and can deliver it while moving his feet. Brinson also has the powerful core and hips to stick to a receiver downfield and escort him to the sideline.
Harlem Diamond Harlem Diamond 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Cedartown | 2023 State GA – RB – Cedartown High School
- Flashes initial burst and good lateral quickness to sidestep defenders or bounce runs outside with very good foot quickness. Displays very good feel as an inside and outside runner with above average vision to make sharp cuts – good patience· and footwork to pick through defenses.
- He’s decisive once Diamond locates a hole and gets through quickly. His ability to accelerate and his good top-end speed allow him to outrun angles, and he has the quickness and lateral agility to make defenders miss in space.
- His competitiveness and knack for high-pointing the ball allow him to play bigger than his size.
- Diamond is elite as a receiver. He runs routes as well as most receivers and has natural hands, snatching the ball away from his body.
