Rising Talents
QB | Reqez Nance Reqez Nance 5'10" | 180 lbs | QB West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI | West Bloomfield
Nance is a prospect I constantly find myself rooting for. A quarterback with so much talent around him, he’s actually a pretty divisive prospect. Not because of anything he’s done, but it’s the classic ‘how good is this QB really’ question. This has to do with his size, the talent around him, and his overall performance in big moments. Similar to, say, Bryce Young vs. Will Levis. Two of these things, of course, he has no control over. Nance has zero offers, while his peers have many. So, can Nance get some offers? Yes. But he’ll have to truly prove himself next season while winning those big games.
Nance is a Kyler Murray type QB who is “undersized” but lethal with his feet. He’s able to get out of the pocket and sling it downfield with ease. He competes in off-season competitions with great 7-on-7 skills, and you can tell he cares greatly about improving his game. The difference between him and other top QBs in the class is slim, but the difference still exists. I hope to see Nance go crazy next season!
TE | Brady Prieskorn Brady Prieskorn 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Rochester Adams | 2024 State MI | Rochester Adams
I’ve talked a lot about Brady over the past year, but I am immensely curious to see what he’ll be able to do with the absence of Parker Picot Parker Picot 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Rochester Adams | 2023 State MI . Standing at 6’5, the Adams High School senior tight end is one of the best in the country.
Prieskorn’s impressive size and strength make him an incredible blocker, able to clear the way for his team’s running backs. But he is equally skilled as a receiver, using his size and quickness to get open and make big plays. His sure hands and ability to read defenses make him a valuable asset to any team. Prieskorn’s skills and work ethic have drawn comparisons to NFL tight end George Kittle. Like Kittle, Prieskorn is a versatile player who excels both as a blocker and receiver. As Prieskorn moves on to the collegiate level, he will no doubt be a key player for whichever team is lucky enough to have him.
He has yet to post Junior highlights, so here are his Sophomore highlights!
DB | Desman Stephens II Desman Stephens II 6'2" | 205 lbs | DB Clarkston | 2024 State MI | Clarkston
Stephens is a taller-than-normal DB standing at 6’3, but I know one other 6’3 defensive back. His name is Sauce Gardner. I’ve been a fan of Stephens’s game for a while, and I firmly believe this is a power-five prospect. He can press, go off coverage, stop the run, shed blocks, you name it. He passes the eye test, performs well during the regular season, and stays at work during the offseason. I’m very excited to see what he can do next season, and I hope to see even further improvement.
OL | Jacob Kropchak Jacob Kropchak 6'5" | 305 lbs | OL Stoney Creek | 2024 State MI | Stoney Creek
Kropchak has the opportunity to cement himself as the best lineman in the OAA this coming season. The conference has a ton of O-Line talent, but Kropchak is just that good. Currently, he holds offers from Marshall, UMass, and Toledo, but he will receive more offers as long as he continues to improve his game. Jacob Kropchak Jacob Kropchak 6'5" | 305 lbs | OL Stoney Creek | 2024 State MI is a dominant force on the football field. Standing at 6’4 and weighing in at a formidable 300lbs, the Stoney Creek High School senior is a force to be reckoned with on the offensive line. Kropchak’s size and strength make him an incredible blocker, able to clear the way for his team’s running backs and protect his quarterback. He is no stranger to competition, as he regularly faces off against some of the best teams during the regular season. In addition to his impressive on-field skills, Kropchak is extremely strong and will be competing in the offseason to improve his already formidable abilities. The difference between the most elite O-Lineman is incredibly slim, and I hope he’s able to break the mold!
