Cholowsky is a dual sport athlete that has already been offered by Notre Dame to play both football and baseball. He is a very technically sound pocket passer that can make throws downfield across his body with nice zip on the ball and shows tremendous arm strength downfield. Flashing good pocket awareness and able to fit the ball into tight windows, he scans the field quickly and moves through his progressions while smart with the ball in his hands. After the first signing day he remains unsigned, but it is safe to think that other FBS programs will come in and make a move on the talented passer. He holds one other offer from New Mexico State.
WR Myles Libman Myles Libman 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Pinnacle | 2023 State AZ , Pinnacle HS
Libman is one of the top overall recruits across Arizona and one of the top offensive weapons the western region has to offer. Currently holding 13 D-I offers, he is a big play mismatch that shows nice speed and big play abilities downfield. He has good size for the position, a strong build and uses his strong hands and body positioning to box out defenders and win at the POA on 50/50 balls when making contested catches. With multiple FBS suitors, his name will be one to watch for as we draw closer to the second and final NSD.
DL Nolan Clement Nolan Clement 6'3" | 220 lbs | DB Desert Mountain | 2023 State AZ , Desert Mountain HS
The 6’4 edge rusher has 9 total offers and there are plenty of schools that he can make a big impact at. He is a quick twitched four down defensive end that gets off the ball with urgency and wins with pad level, punch and quick hands at the POA. Very athletic for his size, he is a natural bender around the edge dipping underneath punches and shows plus COD and open field tackling abilities when collapsing the pocket. Flashing elite closing speed and a high motor kid, it wouldn’t be surprising if more G5 or even a P5 school came in late and offered.
ATH Layton Duncan Layton Duncan 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Brophy | 2023 State AZ , Brophy Prep HS
Duncan is another big play outside receiver that can go up and snatch the ball while a mismatch on the outside due to his size, strength and highpoint abilities. He moves very well for his size, can get off press coverage and has a strong understanding of how to settle and beat zone coverage before turning upfield. Downfield, he is a patient runner that is smooth in and out of his breaks, especially for his size and will only continue to work on his top end speed. He currently holds four offers from FCS and G5 schools.
LB John Butler John Butler 6'2" | 230 lbs | LB Saguaro | 2023 State AZ , Saguaro HS
Butler is one of the more versatile linebackers across the region and is disruptive both from his middle backer position and coming off the edge/rushing the passer. He has a very strong and explosive first step with nice twitch and is a natural bender off the edge with a variety of speed to power pass rush moves at his disposal. He is violent with his hands at the POA, shows closing speed when pursuing backside and packs a punch at contact while able to make plays outside the tackles. Arizona and Idaho State have offered already and it would not surprise me if he wound up in the Big Sky or MWC by the time it’s all said and done.
DB Josiah Dye Josiah Dye 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB Williams Field | 2023 State AZ , Williams Field HS
Dye is a longer and well built safety that shows elite cover abilities, natural instincts and has a feel for playing in space and triggering on ball carriers. He has a smooth pedal, fluid hips in transition and uses his hands well when playing off-man coverage while physical in the box and not afraid to come up and make hits near the LOS. He covers ground well, takes good angles in the open field and brings a nice thump at the POA. While the ball is in the air, he high points and baits quarterbacks into bad throws over the middle before closing on the ball. Dye offers position versatility while also able to play corner, and uses his strength, recovery speed and physical style of play to his advantage. Air Force, Army, Utah State and NAU have all offered.
