2026 Recruits Who Burst Onto The Scene This Fall

<h2>[player_tooltip player_id='401664' first='Zach' last='Foster'] - Gibson Southern - DB - 5'10" 160lbs - 2026</h2>   <p>Foster is a young recruit who has all of the tools that you like to see. For him, it will be about development over the next few years. He's a very good athlete who can cover the entire back end of the defense. He's able to cover sideline to sideline and has no issue coming up to play the run. He's typically in control of his body and things going on around him which allow him to come to balance and make the play. There are times he seems twitchy and has a good understanding of what's developing in front of him. It's allowed him to jump a few routes and make a few picks as a freshman. For his age, he's a bigger defensive back. If he grows a little more, he could get moved into linebacker. If that's the case, he's still physical enough and has sidelined the sideline speed still. He's able to play man coverage fairly well and can flip his hips with ease. For his freshman year he put up 40 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. He's on the field learning on the fly making place. He is an incredibly physical player and has the frame to go along with it. When he comes downhill, he comes downhill. He's going to hit a ball carrier and they're going to feel him. He's got a good feel for angles and never seems to take a poor one. For his freshman year, he finished with over 100 tackles. Over 10 tackles a game as a freshman is quite the way to get on the field and let others know who you are. He's not someone who plays out of control and never gets too high or low emotionally on the field. Offensively when he's asked to carry the ball, he's going to lower his shoulders, run behind his pads, and hit whoever is in his way. I think overall, if he's able to work on being a bit more flexible over the next few years, it'll help him be a much more complete linebacker. He's got all of the things that you look for, including the size, it's just getting him up to speed with everything that it takes to be a college linebacker. He's quite literally played on all three phases of the game and had an impact. He's even played quarterback some this year. Whether he's throwing the ball, running the ball, returning kicks, or playing defense, he has a ton of confidence. Defensively, he's fairly explosive. He understands what he's seeing and understands how to take the proper angle. He's got elite closing speed and has no issue committing full speed. He's there to hit, make the play, and move on. He's got fantastic speed and is able to cover the entire field. There is no part of the field that he's not able to cover and he's quick enough to play man coverage on a WR if you need. He's able to then turn around and play offense and carry the ball. The same athleticism stands out and he just makes plays. There's not anything that stands out in terms of major issues. He's just a bit raw with a ton of potential at multiple different positions. He showed that not only he belongs to, but that is going to be there and make plays for years to come. He's got a decent frame and isn't afraid to run in between the tackles. He's got fairly decent feet, but isn't the fastest back. He's definitely able to run through some tackles and is likely to do more damage down the road. His freshman year, he rushed for over 400 yards and had a handful of touchdowns. It was the confidence that grew throughout the season and someone who looked more comfortable throughout the year. He's a bigger powerful back who could develop into the type of runner who wears down the defense throughout the game. I think if he's able to develop properly and hit the weight room, it'll help him become a much more complete back. If he's able to be reliable and blitz pick up as well, I think next year he'll have an even larger portion of the pie. Moore is someone to watch, especially down the road, because he could be a running back that everyone knows.</p>   <p>Twitter: @Khamelmoore9</p>   <p>HUDL: N/A</p>   <h2>Toby Savini - Cascade - RB - 5'9" 135lbs - 2026</h2>   <p>Savini had an incredibly promising freshman year and it only makes you much more excited for what he can do down the road. He started every game at running back as true freshman and there's no reason to look back. He looked good, and got more confident throughout the season. He put up over 1000 total yards on the year. In the running game, and the receiving game, and returning kicks. He is a speedy back who has fairly good vision. He sticks his foot in the ground and gets uphill immediately. There's no hesitation with what he's seeing and he understands to fight for positive yards. He's a reliable threat out of the backfield as well and defenses have to keep an eye on him. If not he will sneak out of the backfield, catch a pass and be out the back door. He's got fantastic agility as well and is able to make guys miss in the hole. While he is not very physical, there's plenty of time to hit the weight room and improve in that category. As reliable and dynamic as he is in all phases of the game, I anticipate him being a key contributor for years.
