2024 Defensive Line Prospects to Watch in 2023

In this article, we are going to look at several prospects with the potential to play on Saturdays in the future. From the defensive tackle spot, Collins can contain both the run and passing attacks of the opponent. From a pass rushing perspective, Collins can overpower opposing offensive linemen and typically requires two blockers to deal with him. He does a great job of getting his hands up to bat the ball down while being blocked. Collins is one prospect that does not quit on a play and will be a player to watch in 2023.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='304269' first='TJ' last='Lindsey']-Defensive Line-Bryant</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bryant defensive lineman is one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the state. Lindsey has excellent quickness and uses his speed well to get into the offensive backfield. He is a defensive lineman with that rare mix of speed and power that can completely disrupt an opposing offense. The Bryant defense dominated the opposition this season as they earned a fifth state championship in a row. Look for another strong season from Lindsey this season as he continues to rack up the scholarship offers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149575' first='Landen' last='Meredith']-Defensive Line-White Hall</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What sticks out right off the bat when it comes to [player_tooltip player_id='149575' first='Landen' last='Meredith'] is his ability to track down the ball carrier. He will not quit on a play whether it be a run or a pass. Meredith uses his strength well to defeat blocks and get into the offensive backfield. He will use his quickness well to run down the ball carrier and even drop back into pass coverage when needed. The White Hall coaching staff does an excellent job of lining Meredith up all over the field and he is a prospect to watch in 2023.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='260419' first='Kaden' last='Spencer']-Defensive Line-Springdale</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='260419' first='Kaden' last='Spencer'] is a prospect that continues to improve each week he puts on the pads. The young man uses his speed well to rush the passer. He is the type of edge rusher that is difficult to contain when his motor is going. At 6'3”, he knows how to clog up the passing lanes and make life tough for opposing quarterbacks. He is another prospect that does an excellent job of tracking down the ball carrier. Spencer has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future and look for another strong season from the Springdale defensive lineman in 2023.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='308813' first='Truitt' last='Rowland']-Defensive Line-Farmington</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to see Rowland play several times. He is a fiercely competitive defensive lineman that does a great job of disrupting the opposing offensive rushing and passing attacks. He uses his speed well and does an impressive job of tracking down the ball carrier. Rowland has a nose for the football, and he is one prospect that I expect to have a strong 2023 campaign. He has the potential to earn some playing time on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
