Updating the prospect rankings is one of my favorite times of the year. With the class of 2023's signing period approaching quickly, we are going to look at prospects that have shot up the rankings during the season. The class of 2023 is a talented one and we are going to see plenty of prospects play on Saturdays in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='385303' first='Aaron' last='Smith']-Offensive Line-Conway

The offensive line position in the class of 2023 is one of the deepest the state has seen in quite some time. Smith has excellent foot speed and does a great job of getting into opposing defensive linemen. He has the strength on the offensive line to play at the division one level. Smith anchor's the Conway offensive line and has helped the Wampus Cats to another playoff run this season. Smith is a prospect that shot up the rankings over the past few months. Keep an eye on him at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='172338' first='Kaylon' last='Morris']-Wide Receiver-Fayetteville

The Fayetteville Bulldogs have had no trouble producing wide receivers that can stretch the field. [player_tooltip player_id='172338' first='Kaylon' last='Morris'] is the latest big play wide receiver for the Bulldogs. He uses his speed well to cause plenty of headaches for the opposing secondary. During the 2022 season, he has consistently been among the state leaders in receiving yardage. Morris is a wide receiver that has moved up the rankings in this update after a strong 2022 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='178752' first='Hunter' last='Ferrell']-Quarterback-Bauxite

Bauxite signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='178752' first='Hunter' last='Ferrell'] has improved every season with the Miners and this season was no different. Ferrell has a strong arm and has no trouble stretching the field deep to his wide receivers. Despite suffering an injury midway through the football season, his play on the field was impressive. He has good pocket awareness and Ferrell knows when the pocket is breaking down. Ferrell is certainly a prospect that college scouts should keep an eye on as National Signing Day approaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='153937' first='Jaylin' last='McKinney']-Wide Receiver-Pulaski Academy

One of the most productive wide receivers not just in the state of Arkansas but also the country this season has been [player_tooltip player_id='153937' first='Jaylin' last='McKinney']. McKinney is 38th in the country in receiving yardage and is a wide receiver that opposing defenses have to adjust to on the field. He is a wide receiver that can be lined up in the slot or split out wide. He is a wide receiver that will see playing time on Saturdays in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='193069' first='Donnie' last='Cheers']-Wide Receiver-Marion

The Marion wide receiver has been one of the most consistent receiving targets over the past few years. Cheers does a great job of being able to high point the football. He uses his athletic ability well to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Cheers is a wide receiver that has no problems making big plays in the passing game when needed. He has the potential to cause plenty of problems for opposing defenses at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='91975' first='CJ' last='Turner']-Linebacker-Star City

The versatility that [player_tooltip player_id='91975' first='CJ' last='Turner'] has was on full display this season for Star City. On the offensive side of the ball, Turner churned out multiple 100-yard rushing performances. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Turner is a linebacker that uses his speed well to completely disrupt the opposing offense. Whether it be disrupting the opposing rushing attack or making plays defending the pass. Turner had a terrific season and is a prospect to watch on National Signing Day.
