2022 Post-Season Rankings Update: Senior Athletes Ranked 6-10

Coastal Carolina got a good one, a prospect that I imagine will contribute early in his career. Line him up at slot corner, he can run with speed and stay in phase in pass coverage against speed threats. He can read and react to the run from any DB alignment, often too well for TE or WR to block him. He turns into a LB in these situations, showing great instincts to the ball while displaying real tackling technique in the open field. A prospect that can align at any LB or DB alignment. Limitations on offense didn't even let coaches see just how great of a weapon the young man could be at wideout or running back. Yet, taking a look at his senior tape, seeing how special he was along the defensive line, it's tough to imagine Holy Cross not utilizing his blend of speed and size off the edge. His instincts to find the ball carrier are top-notch, it's fun to watch him sniff out run plays behind the LOS. Then you see he managed three interceptions based on instincts alone. Some say we over ranked Bobbie Boyd, that is only the case when you consider his recruitment. The young man's tape proves his rank to be justifiable at the very least. I'm on the edge of my seat to see where the young man eventually commits, as we all know that program will end up with the steal of the state. I'm also intrigued as to where he will have a future at the next level. Boyd is an opportune runner that boasts a ferocious running style. Yet his skills at defensive back are trustworthy despite his size.
