With the beginning of the camp season just around the corner, many players will undoubtedly make their way onto recruiting radars during the 2023 season.
This article will look at seven receivers to look out for at camps and during the fall season.
Joyce-Fairley is an electrifying route-runner who has significant potential as a legitimate sleeper. The 6-foot receiver has explosive releases and creates space from defenders by quickly getting in and out of his breaks. His reliable catching abilities make him an ideal target for quarterbacks, giving him an advantage when it comes to potential production numbers. Joyce-Fairley is a radar pop-up who is sure to turn heads at camps and during the season, which makes him a stock riser to watch.
Highlights
Early is a tight end with great height and length, making him an immediate standout. He moves exceptionally well for being a 6-foot-4, 190lbs athlete. His wingspan gives him a wide catch radius, which is ideal for a tight end of his caliber. In addition to his athleticism as a pass catcher, his size and strength give him the ability to be an imposing blocker who can set the edge or clear out space as a lead blocker. Early is an impressive player with significant upside as a recruit, making him worthy of being added to any recruiting board.
Manuel is an explosive receiver with shifty releases. His ability to launch off the line and put defensive backs in a blender makes him a dangerous receiver whenever he is on the field. His overall speed, explosiveness, and catching skills give him the needed attributes for any system that utilizes the slot receiver. Manuel’s overall skill set makes him an instant standout whenever he is on the field, giving him the potential to be a sleeper prospect.
Romero is a quiet player who lets his work ethic and talents speak for themselves. The effort he puts into improving his craft can easily be seen in every rep of individual and competition drill that he does. He is a well-rounded player who will quickly end up with a star next to his name at camps. Romero’s sophomore season ended with a 3A state title, but he has yet to scratch the surface of his full potential.
Walker is a player who has been patiently biding his time while sitting behind a talented receiving core of seniors. He is a crisp route runner who will go up and snag anything thrown in his direction. His speed and acceleration in and out of his breaks make him a nightmare for secondaries to cover. Now that the seniors are graduating, Walker is poised to light up the state and have a breakout junior season.

Ford is a two-way player who stands out on either side of the ball. His explosiveness and shifty athleticism allow him to exploit secondaries on every level. His experience as a defensive back helps him identify weaknesses in opposing defenses, while his knowledge as a receiver gives him an advantage as a defensive back. Whether the ball is in his hands or not, Ford is a must-know player with significant upside.

Wilkes is a young receiver with the potential to become one of the top players in his class. His athleticism on a 6-foot-1 frame gives him a wide catch radius that pairs perfectly with his impressive speed. He does an excellent job at quickly getting out of his breaks and attacking the ball in the air, then using his physicality and speed to fight for yards after the catch. Wilkes had a very impressive sophomore season but is poised to have an outstanding junior year.
