The first quarter was mostly a defensive battle as Clover's [player_tooltip player_id='997351' first='Jayden' last='Bryant'] sacked Mitchell Powell on the opening series before Dorman's [player_tooltip player_id='1144090' first='Brannon' last='Teamer'] picked off Jaylon Hoover's deep ball attempt intended for Dion Brown. But the key for the Cavaliers was when they made a switch at quarterback to David Sorensen, which sparked them for a huge second quarter.

Foster ripped off a 20-yard run to end the first quarter before Sorensen put Dorman on the board first from 2 yards out with 11:45 to play in the second quarter. His impressive play continued as he made an unbelievable 23-yard diving catch in the second quarter, leading to a short Sorensen touchdown run to make it 13-0 with 6:19 to play before the half.

The momentum really shifted towards the visitors from Spartanburg as Jonathan Frazier picked off Hoover for the second time on the night. Dorman capitalized immediately with a 39-yard TD pass from Sorensen to Foster to increase the Cavs lead to 20-0 with 5:18 to play before the half. Emmanuel Lopez knocked through a 35-yard field goal to increase the Dorman lead to 23-0 at halftime.

Clover would make it interesting to begin the third quarter as DeMarco Evans punched it in from 1 yard out to cut into Dorman's lead at 23-7. That hope would be short lived as Dorman went on a 12-play, 84-yard drive, capped off with a 1-yard Sorensen run to go up 37-7 in the third quarter.

The scoring would be capped off by a 40-yard TD run from Foster with 2:33 to play in the third quarter.
