West Catholic vs. Negaunee Prospects to Watch

Then you have Negaunee, a team from all the way up in the Northern Upper Peninsula. This should be a very interesting match to watch, and it's always fun to see two teams who would never have a regular-season game play in the postseason. Slim Timmy has broken countless West Catholic records, and the Air Force commit is one of the most committed and strongest RBs I've ever seen. His ability to run downhill is incredible, as he's a great power back with amazing lifting numbers. What's not as obvious is his blazing speed and surprising athleticism. He's put in the hours in the gym and has a dedicated routine, and he's been able to absolutely maximize his body through the years. I know a lot of East Side media members that are excited to watch Kloska play, and I just know he'll ball out. Oh, and he's also a dominant linebacker. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LB | [player_tooltip player_id='286460' first='Elliot' last='Zainea'] | West Catholic</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've been impressed with what Elliot has been able to do this season, and I know he's put in the off-season work. He's a workhorse linebacker and defensive signal caller. Elliot reacts well to the run and can fill holes and tackle well. He's a strong linebacker who, overall, will play a huge role in defending the Negaunee run game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB | [player_tooltip player_id='881599' first='Kainoa' last='Lacar'] | Negaunee </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lacar is a solid running back that's able to sliver through tacklers to maximize his carries. Against West Catholic, it's going to be crucial for the Negaunee offense to gain every yard possible, and Lacar's initial burst plus shiftiness gives them a good shot at performing well on offense. He dashed through the snow last weekend, so let's see if he can dash through a professional field at Ford FIeld! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LB | Eli T VanBuren | Negaunee</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Eli must perform well against an elite West Catholic run game. At 6'0 225, he has the size to make a big difference on both sides of the ball. If Eli attacks instead of reacts, he could have a very good game. He also plays a bit of offense, as he's a good blocker and an unexpected TE. There are some plays where he gets out for a pass and gets wide-open. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
