Not only is it a tight race for the lower half of this list, but it is fun to see prospects put up large yardage totals for their teams, thus putting them in place to have a high level of success, while also competing with others on this list. Below, we have listed the most recent top 5 rushing leaders in the state, who we firmly believe are worth tracking, and watching once you get the chance.

– South Atlanta
After an undefeated 9 games for his team’s regular season, Brown has put up an impressive 2,139 rushing yards, topping this list as the current leader of rushing yards in the state of Georgia. He has also rushed for an average of 237 yards a game, and an average of 12 yards a carry. This has come on a total 178 listed rushing attempts. Out of all of these attempts, he has seen a rushing long of 88 yards on one carry, and has also scored 25 TD’s for his team, to only 2 fumbles. After an impressive regular season, we fully expect him to add to these totals as South Atlanta marches into the postseason.
Jayden Mason- Calvary Christian
Mason, who has played in 8 of Calvary’s 10 games, will be looking to add to his yardage total this week, which is already drastically more than each of the prospects beneath him on this list. At this point of time, Mason has rushed for 2,018 yards, and has averaged around 252 yards a game. In addition to this, he has also rushed for 8.8 yards a carry, on 228 attempts. This has come with plenty more success, including 29 TD’s. Expect these numbers to grow following this Friday’s game, making it harder for the competition to catch up.
Germivy Tucker- Johnson County
Tucker, who oftentimes does not get as much credit as he deserves, has shown out in a 9 game span. In these 9 games, he has rushed for 1,884 yards, and averages around 209.3 yards a game. To add to this, out of the 161 rushing attempts he has had, he has managed to average around 11.7 yards a carry. To add to this, he has also rushed for 25 TD’s, making him a lethal weapon for his offense. Going down the rest of the stretch, we will be watching to see how he finishes the regular season on these rankings, and how it compares to the other prospects below, who have been performing at a hungry rate when it comes to totals, and production.
Nick Woodford- Northeast
Going into Woodford’s next game, he will have a chance to climb up the list before helping his team make a playoff run. At this point of time, he has a total of 1,865 rushing yards, making his total very close to others at the bottom of this list. Per game, he averages around 233 yards, and per carry, he averages slightly over 9 yards. Out of 192 attempts this year, he has had a rushing long of 90 yards, and has scored 27 times for his team. Because of this production in the span of just 8 games that he has played in, we believe the sky’s the limit for him in the coming weeks.
Tyson Greenwade- Dalton
Even despite his team’s 5-5 record, Greenwade still has plenty of potential to climb up this list moving forward. At this point of time, he has 1,839 rushing yards, and will have opportunities to boost his totals as his team enters the playoffs. Nevertheless, at this point of time, he is still having his share of success, as he has racked up an average of 183.9 yards a game, and an average of 8.6 yards a carry. Look for him to continue to shine for his team moving forward, as it will be an interesting close to the season for him.
