This means that plenty of players on this list, and further beyond, have solidified their regular season placements. Even with this, some of these players are also going on to the playoffs, and have opportunities to continue to add to their totals, potentially changing their current rankings for the better. In the meantime, take some time to look at our current standings after week 10, as things are beginning to get interesting.
Adern Allsbrook- Montgomery Central
At the top of this list, Allsbrook has racked up an impressive 167 tackles this season, with an average of 16.7 tackles a game in the span of 10 regular season games. This makes him the regular season tackling leader, and champion for North Carolina. These totals also come with 36 solo tackles, and 131 assists. In addition to this, Allrbook also has had 2 sacks this season, and 5 tackles for a loss. Unfortunately for him though, due to his team’s 1-9 record, this would be all he is able to achieve this year. As North Carolina enters the postseason, this list will begin to look drastically different.
Ben Watson- Newton-Conover
After 10 games, Watson continued to shine for Newton-Conover, and finished the regular season strong. Due to his team’s 3-7 record, and 2-5 record in the region, they will not make the postseason, which means that he will most likely see himself slip on this list as the weeks go by. Nevertheless, he is the second place leader in tackles in the state this season, and has done so with plenty of solid statistics. Currently, he has a total of 154 tackles, with 85 of them being solos, 7 of them being for a loss, with 4 sacks as well. He also has racked up an average of 15.4 tackles a game, proving that he was an intricate part of his team’s defensive production.
Bryant Blevins- Ashe County
Unlike each of the other players on this list, Blevins still has one more regular season game left to play, and depending on how it goes, he can push to become the 3rd leader in tackles for the state of NC for the regular season. At this point of time, he has 139 tackles, with an average of 15.4 tackles a game. A large amount of his production has come from assists, as he has had 109 assists, and 30 solo tackles. With this, he has also racked up 3 tackles for a loss, and 1 sack.

Over the span of 10 games, Wright has managed to tie Blevins’ tackle total, as he also has racked up 139 tackles. Unlike Blevins though, this comes with an average of 13.9 tackles a game, and a total of 81 solo tackles, and 58 assists a game. He also has a total of 7 tackles for a loss, and 3 sacks. If he can keep this production up, he will certainly jump some of the players’ totals on this list as his team enters into the playoffs.
