Round one of the playoff picture was very interesting to watch and the athletes listed below did a great job of improving their recruiting stock and helping their team advance to the next round.
STOCK UP PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Colin Simmons Colin Simmons 6'3" | 225 lbs | DL Duncanville | 2024 State TX – Duncanville High school- Class of 2024
Colin continued to double down on why he’s garnered so much publicity and been ranked so high. He has was dominate and an absolute menace off of the edge in week 1. He has continued to be a match up nightmare and was a huge catalyst for the Duncanville defense and looked frankly unblockable at times. His spark off of the edge helped them to a convincing 74-13 win over Bryan high and an 11-0 record on the year and he will need to keep playing at a high level to lead them back to the state title match.
Ethan Terrell Ethan Terrell 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Lewisville | 2024 State TX – Lewisville High – Class of 2024
Ethan has continued to be a superlative performer week in and week out.
In round one he put on a dazzling performance to help the Lewisville Farmers take down Allen High school.
His ability to deliver strikes down the field and extend plays with his feet while avoiding the rush was very impressive. He also had an explosive 81 yard touchdown run that helped his squad seal the deal and helped Lewisville stay undefeated.
Lucas Barrientes -Midland Legacy- Class of 2024
Lucas had another big weekend of production and helped his squad to a round one victory last Friday. He has been one of the most impressive pullers that I have seen in the state and his level of physicality has been refreshing to watch. He is a long and lean athlete that has a bunch of room to add mass to his 260 pound frame. He will be one to watch as his squad faces off versus Keller in round two of the playoffs.

Drew Perez – Southlake High- Class of 2023
Drew is a 6’8 330 pounder out of Southlake Carrol that has been a cornerstone of their offenses run game this fall.
From the summer till now you can visually see how much he’s improved his mobility and the difference that is is having in his game. His posture, patience, and hip level throughout his blocks have all improved and been impressive for an athlete as large as he is. The Colorado commit will have to continue to bring the juice and play at a high level as the competition thickens and they face off against a talented Frenship squad.
