It’s early in these youngsters’ careers, but these guys have been impressive on film and displayed a ton of potential. Some of them have already begun to pick up FBS offers, while others are still awaiting that coveted call. They’re only going to continue to develop and become better ball players over the next few years & I can’t wait to follow from afar.
Shimyael Holt Shimyael Holt 6'4" | 300 lbs | DL King's Fork | 2025 State VA , 6’3″ 280, Lakeland, SO
- Can get out and block in space.
- Shows strong hands and a physical mentality at the point of attack.
- Is a natural knee-bender that plays with good leverage.
- Projects as a guard at the next level.
- Has strong footwork and adequate body position in pass protection.
Jaylen Gilchristfdbd Jaylen Gilchristfdbd 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Salem-VB | 2025 VA , 6’4″ 280, Salem, SO
- Eyes stay up to pass off twists and stunts.
- Raw, but plays with an edge to him.
- Sits back in his vertical set with his chest up ready to strike.
- Shows patient hands that stay compact and won’t cause him to lunge at rushers.
- A ton of god-given play strength on tape.
Carter Stallard Carter Stallard 6'8" | 315 lbs | OL Christiansburg | 2025 State VA , 6’8″ 315, Christiansburg, SO
- Rolls his hips and punches on a rise.
- Stays hip-to-hip with his double-team partner.
- Drives his double team up to the second level and will peel off & work to his assigned linebacker.
- Has a ton of force behind his down blocks.
- Size is overwhelming for high school defensive linemen.
Darius Gray, 6’4″ 280, St. Christopher’s, FR
- Moves well for a big man.
- Feet keep churning on contact.
- Resets his hands if initial placement is outside the breastplate.
- A violent puller that looks to smack defenders.
- Has a ton of athleticism that will continue to be developed over the next three seasons and beyond.
Daron Thompson Daron Thompson 6'2" | 250 lbs | OL Huguenot | 2025 State VA , 6’2″ 250, Life Christian Academy, SO
- A constant finisher on film.
- Looks for work in pass pro if no threat comes his way.
- A strong anchor allows for him to sit back against a bullrush.
- Has a nasty side that will come out at times.
- Plays with a heavy inside hand in pass protection.
Brady McIntyre Brady McIntyre 6'5" | 315 lbs | OL Mechanicsville | 2025 VA , 6’4″ 320, Mechanicsville, SO
- Size creates major issues for defenders taking on a down block.
- Base stays wide as he transitions into the drive phase of his blocks.
- Has a pretty good motor for a big man.
- Displayed solid body control working blocks at the second level.
- Calm feet and outstanding composure as a pass protector
