Continue ReadingDavis has had a huge senior season rushing for over 1,500 yards in the regular season. He has good speed that he uses to get to perimeter. He does a great job making guys miss in the open field with jump cuts and good lateral change of direction. He’s a decisive runner who runs with good vision finding small creases and gaps to take advantage of defenses. He’s also not afraid to lower his shoulder and fight for tough yards when needed. Davis is a gamebreaker and should be finding his way ont0 the radars of college coaches.
Brumbaugh is a playmaker on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs. On offense he makes plays both as a running back and as a receiver. At the next level though I like him on the defensive side of the ball. I think he’d make a great college safety. His skillset is versatile enough that he could play both or strong safety. He’s instinctual, he’s fast, and he plays downhill which would play to the strong safety position. His ball skills and hands play to the free safety position. This is a kid that I really think has bright future ahead of him and I can’t wait to see where he ends up.
Eilerman is a big receiver that I project to the tight end position at the college level. He moves very well for a player of his size. He does a good job of getting in and out of breaks. He has the hands and ball skills to make plays on 50/50 balls. I project him to the tight end position because I think he could fill out to 235-245 pounds. That added weight and strength will allow him to be not just a pass catcher but be a strong blocker in the run game.
Highlights
Byndon is a really impressive defensive end. He’s strong and plays with heavy hands. He’s able to get a good push and does a great job of using his hands to disengage and get up field. He just plays downhill and he’s so strong he just eats his way through the offensive line. Once he gets into the backfield, he does a great job of finishing. Byndon has offers from Purdue, Toledo, and Kent State.
Mauer is a gritty quarterback who can hurt you with his arm and with his legs. He does a good job of spreading the ball around while throwing from the pocket. When things break down, he has the speed and athleticism to get yards and make plays when nothing is there through the air. When he does run, though, he does a great job of keeping his eyes up and making throws on the run.
Novak is a legit Mr. Football Ohio candidate. At 6’6 210 pounds he has the size and frame of a prototypical pro style quarterback. Novak has good arm strength and is able to make throws to all parts of the field. He’s a sneaky good athlete who can make plays with his legs from time to time. He does a good job of seeing and avoiding the rush. He has a live arm and has a quick release that allows him to get the ball out quickly. Right now, Novak has D1 FCS and D2 offers.
