Henderson is one of the best prospects in the nation regardless of class and carried his team to a solid post-season run. The Elba high product has been of the most prolific backs in the country. While toting the rock for over 2600 yards with 47 touchdowns on 13 yards a carry, Henderson’s elite explosion out the backfield enables him to post video game-like numbers. He is a true scoring threat from anywhere with top-tier acceleration and an ability to maintain speed out of his cuts in the open field. With two more years to build his frame, develop more skills, and gain more reps, it’s scary to think what Henderson can develop into.
Grady is another underclassman that is another can’t miss blue-chip prospect. With next-level size and athleticism, he’s constantly dominated as an interior presence and edge rusher throughout the playoffs. This is impressive because most guys his age are trying to develop as a specialist in one trait. Grady’s expansive wingspan allows him to utilize the long arm move and keep himself clean from blockers; however, he’s strong enough to hold up offensive linemen with one hand and tackle ball carriers with the other. In addition to his natural quick twitch and get-off, Grady is a terror on the line scrimmage no matter where he lines up. Grady’s dominance has played a large part in Charles Henderson being in the championship game and has offensive coordinators around the state wondering how to limit him.

Seaborn could be the crown jewel of the 2027 class. The eighth graders have shredded defenses led by D1 prospects while putting up one of the best playoff runs in recent memory. The poised QB has shown the efficiency, football IQ, and decision-making skills of a three-year starter. Seaborn’s accuracy, decisiveness, and ability to distribute the ball amongst playmakers are elite for his age. However, he isn’t just dinking and donking down the field. Seaborn has shown he can win with touch downfield while dropping dimes with the deep ball or winning with touch in the intermediate portion of the field. This natural skillset has propelled Thompson to a chance to four-peat and etch their name in high school football history.

Though he may not have the national recognition of the other players on the list, Washington is a certified playmaker who played a significant role in Ramsay being in this year’s championship game. With enough versatility to play any skill position at a high level, Washington has served as a dual-threat QB who can move the chains with his quick game accuracy and explosive burst in the open field on scrambles. This acceleration and speed enable him to line up outside as a legitimate threat to take the top off the defense or be a dynamic run-after-catch receiver. Washington’s broad skillset has helped Ramsay have an opportunity to raise a banner and put himself into elite conversations amongst the star-studded underclassmen group.
