Here’s a look at some Johnston guys who stood out:
Simpson is a tall, athletic target with a nice ceiling. He paced the Dragons with 37 receptions for 530 yards and six touchdowns coming into the semifinals. He’s a willing and able blocker, which makes him a well-rounded player at his position.
Josh Kerber
Josh Kerber
Kerber doesn’t possess prototypical linebackers size but everything else looks very much on point for the position. He runs well and pursues with good burst. He wraps when he arrives. He racked up 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks leading up to the semifinals.
I like this kid’s game. He possesses the size at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds to go with aggressiveness and feel for the game. He piled up 11.0 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss before the semifinals. Rush end in 3-4 could be his college home.
Highlights
The 6-f00t, 170-pound Nuss boasts the arm strength to play college football. It comes down to finding more consistency and accuracy. He threw for more than 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns against just five interceptions through the quarterfinals.
Taylen Proctor

Contributes all over the field with a combination of football smarts and athleticism. He plays fast and with physicality. There’s room for development physically and as a football player leading to a high ceiling.
