Thompson carried Mira Mesa’s offense to a 38-21 win over Otay Ranch. The senior RB took 26 carries for 176 yards and 4 TDs and had an 80-yard punt return TD called back. He’s a dynamic playmaker with natural athleticism and explosive speed/burst. He’s now totaled over 1,500 yards and 23 TDs on the season. Thompson picked up his first offer from USD in October and has drawn interest from several Mountain West programs. Mira Mesa advances to play #4 Christian in round two of the D-II playoffs on Friday.

Connor Underhill
Underhill led the RBV offense with 5 TDs (4 passing, 1 rushing) in their 49-14 win over Santana. He flashed ability as a mobile passer showing accuracy in shallow areas and the arm strength to push the ball downfield. He’s athletic moving outside the pocket making throws on the run and can stress the defense with his legs in space. Underhill and RBV will play 1-seed University City in the D-III playoffs.
Demarion Wright
Demarion Wright
Morse’s RBs did the heavy lifting for the offense, combining for 336 yards and 5 TDs. The team’s leading rusher, Demarion Wright, had 24 carries for 205 yards and 2 TDs in the 52-28 win over El Capitan. He’s a balanced back that can make defenders miss at the LOS and finishes runs physically with power and pad level. Wright and Morse travel to #2 Point Loma in round two of the D-III playoffs on Friday.
Kreet Makihele
Kreet Makihele
San Marcos’ star freshman QB posted an efficient stat-line in his first playoff game, completing 13/16 passes for 230 yards and 5 TDs. He found talented WRs Nolan Cummings and Jase Nix Jase Nix 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR San Marcos | 2025 State CA for 3 TDs including a 64-yarder to Cummings. Makihele has shown elite upside as a passer with ability to create explosive plays downfield and possesses high-level arm talent. San Marcos’s explosive offense faces 3-seed Ramona in round two.

Jackson Diehl
Diehl hit sophomore WR Hank Hansen for two TDs in the first half as La Jolla topped #9 Santa Fe Christian 28-22 in first-round play. He’s shown ability to roll outside the pocket making off-platform throws and can get the ball out on quick-hitters. Diehl’s thrown for over 2,000 yards and 27 TDs with 8 INTs as a junior. La Jolla faces 1-seed Granite Hills in round two of the D-II playoffs.
Noah Snyder
Noah Snyder
Snyder has consistently produced explosive plays for San Pasqual’s offense, totaling 154 yards and 2 TDs on just 7 carries in their round-one win over West Hills. He’s a smooth athlete with upside in his speed and elusiveness in space. Snyder is nearing 1,000 yards rushing with 10 TDs on the season. San Pasqual plays #3 Del Norte in the D-III playoffs this Friday.
