<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school football playoffs in the state of Arkansas have kicked off. However, we have plenty of recruiting news to pay attention to this weekend. In this week's edition of Recruiting News and Notes, we have several of the state's most talented offensive linemen making some recruiting visits. We also will look at some of the best kickers in the state and where they visited Saturday. As well as updating any scholarship offers that went out this week!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='170805' first='Joey' last='Su'a']-Offensive Line-Bentonville-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the past few seasons, the Bentonville offensive lineman has put his impressive mix of power and speed on display a few miles north of the Arkansas campus. Su'a has had a tremendous senior season for the Tigers this season. He looks to finish every block and clear a path for the ball carrier. He is one of the best pass blockers in the state and Arkansas keeping his commitment is a major priority. Su'a had the opportunity to visit the Razorbacks on Saturday. Look out for Su'a and the Tigers as the playoffs continue.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='193069' first='Donnie' last='Cheers']-Wide Receiver-Marion-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='193069' first='Donnie' last='Cheers'] is a wide receiver that can hurt opposing defenses from anywhere on the field. Cheers does an excellent job of being able to high point the football. He uses his speed well to get open and create separation from opposing defensive backs. Prep Redzone Arkansas would like to congratulate Cheers on receiving a scholarship offer from the Memphis Tigers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='75141' first='Donovan' last='Whitten']-Quarterback-Arkadelphia-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The college that lands Whitten lands a quarterback that is one of the most productive in the state of Arkansas. The Arkadelphia signal caller has led the Badgers to an undefeated record on the season. Whitten throws the ball well and is not afraid to use his legs to pick up yardage on the ground. Whitten had the opportunity to watch Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist go at in the annual rivalry game. He is a prospect at the quarterback position with the ability to play on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Thomas Wilbanks-Defensive Back-Bentonville West-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas Wilbanks is a defensive back that is not afraid to deliver a hit. He is a safety that can make plays on the ball and pick off passes as well. Bentonville West has had an impressive season and the defensive secondary has made life tough on opposing wide receivers. Wilbanks had the chance to visit Northeastern State over the weekend. Keep an eye on Bentonville West and Wilbanks as the playoffs continue.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149539' first='Hunter' last='Marshall']-Offensive Line-Farmington-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Farmington center is one of the most tenacious offensive linemen that I have seen in quite some time. Marshall is an offensive lineman that will not be outworked. He does not produce bad snaps and uses his quick feet well. Marshall had the opportunity to visit Midwestern State over the weekend. Keep an eye out for Marshall in 2023 he has the potential to have a big season for the Cardinals of Farmington.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='193150' first='Trevor' last='Martinez']-Offensive Line-Bentonville-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='193150' first='Trevor' last='Martinez'] is one of the most versatile prospects on either side of the ball for the Bentonville Tigers. On the offensive side of the ball, Martinez is a powerhouse at the guard position. He can clear a rushing lane rather easily and is always looking to finish his blocks. Congratulations go out to Martinez from Prep Redzone Arkansas on earning a scholarship offer from the Oklahoma State Cowboys over the weekend on his visit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='385303' first='Aaron' last='Smith']-Offensive Line-Conway-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='385303' first='Aaron' last='Smith'] is an offensive lineman that has exploded this season from a recruiting perspective. He has a terrific speed and power mix for the tackle position. We have seen the scholarship offers coming pouring in over the past few weeks. Offers from Colorado State, Harvard, and Louisiana are some of the latest to come rolling in. Smith spent his Saturday in Fayetteville visiting the University of Arkansas. He is an offensive lineman to watch out for over the next few weeks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='75133' first='Eli' last='Wisdom']-Quarterback-Shiloh Christian-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Shiloh Christian signal caller has had another strong football season with the Saints. Wisdom had a tremendous performance against Nettleton to open up the playoffs. Earlier in the week, Wisdom earned a scholarship offer from the Army Black Knights. He is a quarterback that is an accurate passer and a dangerous runner for opposing defenses to contain. Congratulations go out to Wisdom on the well-earned scholarship offer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='355868' first='Jackson' last='Sweet']-Kicker-Brookland-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='355868' first='Jackson' last='Sweet'] is an accurate kicker with a strong leg. He has no problem handling both the kicking and the punting duties for Brookland. Sweet has shown the ability to pin the opposing team back deep. Sweet had the opportunity to visit Ouachita Baptist over the weekend. Sweet is a kicker with the ability to play on Saturdays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='170203' first='Logan' last='Tymeson']-Kicker-Bentonville-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bentonville kicker [player_tooltip player_id='170203' first='Logan' last='Tymeson'] has hit some big kicks this season for the Tigers. He has made a career of hitting big kicks for the Tigers. Tymeson is a player to watch out for in the playoffs this week. Tymeson had the opportunity to visit Missouri Southern over the weekend. Tymeson is a talented kicker with the ability to play on Saturday in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149571' first='Walker' last='White']-Quarterback-Little Rock Christian-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the class off 2024 is Little Rock Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='149571' first='Walker' last='White']. White does an excellent job of using his legs to pick up yardage. However, he is a quarterback that has a strong arm and can fit the ball into some tight windows. White had the opportunity to pay a visit to Oxford over the weekend. White is going to be a prospect to watch out for over the next few months, his recruiting is going to explode.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149580' first='Drake' last='Lindsey']-Quarterback-Fayetteville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='149580' first='Drake' last='Lindsey'] has put his strong arm on display all season. Fayetteville will take on Conway this Friday night after securing a first-round bye to open the playoffs. The Fayetteville signal caller has a strong arm that can stretch the field from anywhere on the field. Lindsey spent his weekend visiting Knoxville and the Tennessee Volunteers. Keep an eye out for Lindsey over the next few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='176357' first='Keytrone' last='Green']-Defensive Back-North Little Rock-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Green is an aggressive defensive back that is not afraid to get physical with opposing wide receivers. He has the ability to jam opposing wide receivers at the line of scrimmage. Green has the speed to cause problems for opposing wide receivers and opposing quarterbacks. The North Little Rock defensive back spent his weekend visiting Fayetteville and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He is another defensive back to watch out for over the next season. Plenty of big play potential in this young man!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='432437' first='Holt' last='Chappell']-Linebacker-Little Rock Christian-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All [player_tooltip player_id='432437' first='Holt' last='Chappell'] does is rack up the tackles for Little Rock Christian. He does a great job of defeating blocks and getting to the ball carrier. Chappell can drop back into pass coverage and haul down the tight end or running back. Chappell had the chance to visit the Red Wolves of Arkansas State over the weekend. He is going to be a steal for a college staff that extends a scholarship offer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='361302' first='Grayson' last='Wilson']-Quarterback-Central Arkansas Christian-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='361302' first='Grayson' last='Wilson'] has put together two impressive seasons for Central Arkansas Christian. He makes good decisions with the football and is not afraid to throw it deep. However, he is a quarterback that uses his legs well to pick up yards on the ground. Coach Barry Lunney and the Fighting Illini have been recruiting Wilson hard and this weekend he had the opportunity to pay a visit to Illinois. Wilson is a 2025 prospect to pay attention to he has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
