It is the first week of the high school football playoffs in the state of Arkansas. As with the regular season, we had plenty of prospects light up the Friday night skies on a cold night in the Natural State. The games and performances only get bigger from this point. Here are some of the prospects that had big nights across the state of Arkansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='75130' first='Cedric' last='Simmons']-Quarterback-Malvern-2023

The Malvern quarterback hurt Pottsville with both his arm and his legs on Friday night. Simmons rushed 11 times for 131 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Meanwhile, he passed for 97 yards and one touchdown. Malvern got off to an impressive start in the playoffs and they are a team to watch out for as the playoffs continue.

[player_tooltip player_id='149578' first='Bo' last='Williams']-Running Back-Shiloh Christian-2024

The Shiloh Christian Saints exploded out of the gates to kick off the playoffs. Shiloh running back [player_tooltip player_id='149578' first='Bo' last='Williams'] had a great performance against Nettleton. Williams rushed six times for 118 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He went on to add one reception for 18 yards and a touchdown. Keep an eye on Williams as the playoffs continue.

[player_tooltip player_id='75128' first='Darien' last='Bennett']-Running Back-Little Rock Parkview-2023

Bennett has been a running back to watch in the state of Arkansas over the past few years and he put that on display Friday night. He put on an explosive display to a tune of 19 carries for 129 yards and one touchdown. Parkview is a team that has talent all over the field and the potential to make a deep playoff run. Keep an eye on Bennett and the Patriots.

[player_tooltip player_id='240083' first='Jalen' last='Dupree']-Running Back-Malvern-2024

One of the most explosive running backs in the state has continued his solid play to kick off the playoffs. Dupree had 19 carries for 244 yards and two touchdowns on Friday night. Dupree and the Leopards appear to be clicking on all cylinders entering the second round of the playoffs. Dupree has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future and the 2023 season should be a special one for the Malvern running back.

[player_tooltip player_id='475683' first='Sloan' last='Perrin']-Quarterback-Nashville-2023

Nashville is always a team to watch as the playoffs approach and this season is not any different. Perrin is a quarterback that can throw and run the football with equal effectiveness. Perrin used his legs well on Friday night against Bauxite. He rushed 20 times for 135 yards and three touchdowns against the Miners. The Scrappers are always a tough team in the playoffs, and they have the potential for a playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='75133' first='Eli' last='Wisdom']-Quarterback-Shiloh Christian-2023

[player_tooltip player_id='75133' first='Eli' last='Wisdom'] has put together another excellent season for the Saints this season. The Shiloh Christian signal caller threw for 235 yards and six touchdowns against Nettleton on Friday night. Wisdom used his legs well to pick up 67 yards off of just three carries on the night. The Shiloh offense is clicking on all cylinders at this point in the playoffs. The Little Rock Mills and Shiloh Christian matchup has the potential to be a great one.

Trace Hall-Running Back-Booneville-2023

The Booneville Bearcats have running backs that can hurt you from anywhere on the field. Against Junction City, Trace Hall made the most of his six carries to the tune of 185 yards and two touchdowns. The Booneville rushing game is a nightmare to contain and this group has the potential for another deep playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='471801' first='Bodie' last='James Neal']-Wide Receiver-Shiloh Christian-2023

Bodie Neal is a wide receiver that should on plenty of college coaches' radars. The Shiloh Christian wide receiver continued his solid play in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday night. Neal hauled in six receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown. Neal has played well all season and I look for that trend to continue. Next week's game is going to be a good one!
