I think these guys have a chance of going from under the radar to making a big name for themselves. Last year we saw Dante Dowdell Dante Dowdell 6'2" | 215 lbs | RB Picayune Memorial | 2023 State MS raise his stock after running all over West Point in the playoffs. Let’s see who does it this year.
Kamron Beavers, Bay Springs, 2024 DT
Kamron Beavers has offers from Texas Tech and Ole Miss. Florida, BAMA and Miss State are also very interested. A lot of people don’t know about this kid, but that can change soon. Kamron is a very dominant player who controls the line of scrimmage. He is a true playmaker that always attracts a double team. He has good size at 6-foot-3, 290-pounds. He is a guy that you want in the middle of your defense. Bay Springs could possibly run the table throughout these playoffs. If that happens what and see how Beavers sees his stock rise.
Hastin Nelson Hastin Nelson 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Baldwyn | 2024 State MS , 2024, WR, Baldwyn
Hastin Nelson Hastin Nelson 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Baldwyn | 2024 State MS is a wide receiver who is very underrated. You don’t hear his name talked about much, but he is a guy that you want to keep your eyes on. He knows how to get up and down the field making plays. He hasn’t gotten his first big offer, but that can soon change. He has the size and good hands. I think he needs the chance to show that he is a guy with speed. He is a taller guy so sometimes it is hard to see that on film. Nelson is a baller that definitely deserves to play on the next level.
Chris Davis Chris Davis 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Picayune | 2024 State MS , Jr, ATH, Picayune, 2024
Davis is a super stud and we all know that. He has several offers, but Davis isn’t that big of a social media guy. You never know what’s on his mind because he isn’t all on Twitter posting all the time. That’s a good trait to see in a kid nowadays. Everybody has their eyes on Chris, but I think him not being on social media keeps people from thinking his buzz is still high. He definitely is still the number two guy on this offense who is waiting to be number one next year. He shares that spot with Dante Dowdell Dante Dowdell 6'2" | 215 lbs | RB Picayune Memorial | 2023 State MS . I don’t think that is bad company. I think once he keeps ripping through these playoffs we will see that he is not only a stud, but a proven winner. Championships schools want champions, so I think we will see the Georgia and Alabama caliber teams coming after the first week of December.
Cam Triplett, WR, Louisville, 2025
Triplett is a tall guy that only has one touchdown this season. He is a guy that gets your attention soon as you glance on the field. He isn’t the biggest guy, but he moves with a lot of swag. I love the way he approaches the game. Some would say he is possibly the best receiver on this Louisville team. He is a guy that will only continue to impress people the more they see him on the field. He has good hands and knows how to get open. The more training he does during the off-season, the more fluent of a route runner he will be.
Isaiah Spencer Isaiah Spencer 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Madison Central | 2023 State MS , WR, Madison Central, 2023
Isaiah Spencer Isaiah Spencer 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Madison Central | 2023 State MS wants it to be known that he is a power five guy. He wants to compete for national championships. He has been playing in the top tier of football around Mississippi. He plays in the 6A classification. I think that has a lot to do with him wanting to play on the power five level. Spencer was very explosive in the state championship last season. He already has eight hundred and nintey three receiving yardsbthis season. He is one hundred and seven yards away from having back to back one thousand yard seasons. That isn’t an easy task in a state that was once run heavy. That shows you the player he is. Champions want champions so if they keep on this pace I think we can see his stock rise.
