Listed here https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2023-rankings/ are Oregon's top 200 athletes for the 2023 class. Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level. Have a look as we break down the Top 25.

1.[player_tooltip player_id='226949' first='Teitum' last='Tuioti'] 6-3 220 DE Sheldon (COMMITTED: Oregon) The transfer from Nebraska ranks as the top player in the state for the class, coming quick and fluid off the edge. He is extremely athletic and will require a consistent double team if you want to have any chance of containing him.

SEASON UPDATE: What will be Oregon's 6A Defensive POY. Tuioti has been dominant, putting up one of the most impressive statistical seasons in recent memory. He made 71 total tackles, with 28 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks, while helping the #1 Irish to an 11-0 record thus far. Expect him to be one of the Pac 12s best.

2.[player_tooltip player_id='110171' first='Sam' last='Leavitt'] 6-2 200 West Linn QB (COMMITTED: Washington St) I think it was a great decision on Leavitt's part as it relates to WSU. It's a good fit and he will get to air it out close to home. Expect the Lions to be the #1 ranked team in the state.

SEASON UPDATE: The Co-TRL Offensive POY has played lights out all year, hitting on 70% of his passes, while passing for 2,326 yards and 30 TDs/4 INTs, during the regular season. If West Linn wins the 6A title he's your Oregon Offensive POY.

3.[player_tooltip player_id='110182' first='Chip' last='Allers'] 6-3 215 Summit LB (OFFERS: Idaho, Army, Navy) One of the fastest rising recruits in the region. Allers could very well be the Oregon 5A POY on both sides of the football and a double digit D1 offer kid.

SEASON UPDATE: Allers is the overwhelming favorite for Oregon 5A defensive POY honors, leading the state in sacks and forced fumbles. He's an Ivy League type kid who just received a preferred walk on from Stanford, which is fitting. Mid Majors and Big Sky's have missed hard on this one.

4.[player_tooltip player_id='147240' first='Richie' last='Anderson'] 6-4 225 DE/TE Tualatin (COMMITTED: Colorado St) Credit to the Rams for getting on Anderson early as he has looked the part and then some. His recent MVP type performance at the Les Schwab Bowl helped solidify his status as one of the top players in Oregon.

SEASON UPDATE: Anderson had 5 ½ sacks against rival Tigard to close the year, to put his dominance into perspective. The TRL Co-POY was borderline unblockabale during the season and a primary reason the T-Wolves are playing in the semifinals this week.

5.[player_tooltip player_id='110179' first='Drew' last='Rodriguez'] 6-2 200 DB/ATH (COMMITTED: Colorado St) Easily one of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the NW. As noted earlier, credit to the Rams on grabbing early commitments from two of Oregon's best ([player_tooltip player_id='147240' first='Richie' last='Anderson']). The 3* standout might be the most versatile athlete in Oregon, projecting as a 1st team kid on O, D and as a return man.

SEASON UPDATE: Rodriguez earned 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the football again, and will go down as one of the most versatile athletes to come out of Valley and maybe Oregon ever. He could play early and do well for CSU.

6.[player_tooltip player_id='110209' first='Jordan' last='Fisher'] 5-8 175 RB Westview (OFFERS: Montana St, PSU, Idaho, Idaho St, Air Force, Army, Navy) One of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the NW. Fisher made a big jump on the rankings board, adding a handful of division 1 offers after rushing for 1,526 yards and 26 TDs, and averaging 9.6 yards per carry. He is the exception to the rule from a size standpoint.

SEASON UPDATE: One of the best RB's ever to play ball in Oregon. Separate from his unreal statistical accomplishments (2,354 yards, 32 TDs, 11 games), he has an unmatched work ethic and the focus needed to succeed at the D1 level. Expect multiple Mid Major and maybe even a few Pac 12s to get in the mix late.

7.[player_tooltip player_id='110178' first='Jack' last='Wagner'] 6-4 185 QB Tualatin (COMMITTED: Idaho) Wagner has had one of the most impressive off seasons of any player in the NW, landing a handful of division 1 offers. The Vandals got an early commitment from a kid who I could see being one of the best in the Big Sky.

SEASON UPDATE: Wagner was deserving of his Co-Offensive POY honors. He did not have the O line from a season ago and had to use his overall athleticism in the state's toughest conference. He threw for over 2000 yards and 21 TDs/5 INTs during the 9-game regular season.

8.[player_tooltip player_id='147861' first='Luke' last='Leighton'] 6-5 195 WR/LB Sheldon (OFFERS: Air Force, Army, Portland St) Leighton's combination of size and overall versatility is rare. He could very well end up on the defensive side of the ball at the next level. That said as I could see him going for over 1000+ receiving yards this year, after an impressive junior campaign where he racked up 1st team all-league accolades on both sides of the ball.

SEASON UPDATE: The 3* athlete is one of the most productive two-way threats in the history of the school. Leighton is a big reason the Irish could win another state title, accounting for 76 receptions, 1,241 yards, and 16 TDs offensively over the last two years. Combo this with his 113 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 4 INTs, and you have a special player who could do well collegiately.

9.[player_tooltip player_id='110176' first='Demarcus' last='Houston'] 6-2 185 ATH West Albany (OFFERS: Oregon St, Portland St) You could list Houston as the top ATH/WR/DB in the state. His versatility is what makes him such an appealing recruit. Expect the 3* standout to add a handful of additional D1 offers before he is done as the film speaks for itself.

SEASON UPDATE: I would consider Houston one of the more underrated players in the NW. He earned 1st team all-league honors at CB and finished with 1,003 all-purpose yards.

10.[player_tooltip player_id='110187' first='Brock' last='Thomas'] 6-0 175 QB Sheldon (OFFERS: N. Arizona, E. Washington, PSU, Air Force, Army) This kid has been lights out, putting up unreal numbers as a junior 43 TDs (22 passing, 21 rushing). The 3* standout has landed 5 D1 offers in the last few months and is poised to be a conference and state POY candidate.

SEASON UPDATE: Statistically speaking Thomas is one of the best to ever play ball in Oregon. Over the last two years, the conference POY has accounted for 97 TDs (61 passing, 36 rushing), while throwing for 4,779 yards and rushing for 2,096. Jaw dropping numbers.

11.[player_tooltip player_id='110180' first='Mark' last='Hamper'] 6-2 205 ATH West Linn (OFFERS: Portland St, Air Force) Hamper will be a conference and state POY favorite on both sides of the football next season. He earned 1st team all-league honors on O & D going for close to 1300 all-purpose and 12 TDs offensively, along with 42 total tackles and 5 INTs on defense.

SEASON UPDATE: Hamper could very well be Oregon's 6A POY but it has not translated from a recruiting standpoint. He led the state with 55 receptions, 1082 yards, and 17 TDs during the regular season.

12.[player_tooltip player_id='205821' first='Kevin' last='Cassidy'] 6-6 280 T Mountainside (OFFERS: Idaho St, Portland St) Cassidy has a stock which continues to rise. From a collegiate projection standpoint there are few with a higher ceiling as he is still relatively new to the position. As noted numerous times the genes speak for themselves.

SEASON UPDATE: Cassidy earned 1st team all-Metro honors on offense and 2nd team accolades on D. His upside is off the charts, considering his size and the season he just had. Collegiately, expect him to be one of the most successful athletes on this list.

13.[player_tooltip player_id='206771' first='Will' last='Wilson'] 6-3 220 LB Tualatin (COMMITTED: Northern Arizona) Wilson checks a lot of boxes and has a division 1 body. He is another individual who could land a handful of additional offers, while helping to lead a top Tualatin program.

SEASON UPDATE: Wilson's season ending injury was unfortunate as he would have been a conference and state POY candidate defensively. Look for him to have a stellar Big Sky career. The Lumberjacks should be stoked.

14.[player_tooltip player_id='270063' first='Tristan' last='Davis'] 6-7 245 DE Lakeridge (COMMITTED: Arizona) The big man recently made the transfer from Wilsonville to Lakeridge. The competition will be a night and day difference. His projection will depend on what he does on and off the field.

SEASON UPDATE: Davis had a good senior season making 71 total tackles, with 12 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks against legit competition. He has the size and all the tools. Other questions remain.

15.[player_tooltip player_id='205822' first='Payton' last='Roth'] 6-4 200 RB Jesuit (OFFERS: Portland St) Roth has the potential of being Oregon's breakout player of the year after going down early last season due to injury. He will split time with one of the top juniors in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='152333' first='Lonnie' last='Burt'], and could still average 200+ a game running behind the state's top O line.

SEASON UPDATE: Roth torched the state, going for over 2000+ rushing and receiving yards, and 25+ TDs. Look for his recruitment to pick up substantially in the coming weeks, just being offered a preferred walk on spot at Northwestern.

16.[player_tooltip player_id='110184' first='Campbell' last='Sager'] 6-5 245 DE Westview (OFFERS: Montana St, Air Force) Sager earned 1st team All-Metro honors making 25 tackles, with 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks on the season. Not crazy #s but Sager is a physical presence coming off the edge.

SEASON UPDATE: Sager had one of the best seasons of any athlete in Oregon. His 48 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks speak to his game. With continued progression the sky's the limit for him collegiately.

17.[player_tooltip player_id='168252' first='Oliver' last='Fisher'] 6-5 225 TE/DE Sherwood (COMMITTED: Boise St)

SEASON UPDATE: Fisher had a good senior year and brings a lot to the table with his size and overall athleticism. He earned 1st team honors on D and was a 20+ catch TE, speaking to his versatility.

18.[player_tooltip player_id='110242' first='Ryan' last='Oliver'] 6-3 195 QB Lakeridge- Look for Oliver to add multiple D1 offers before he is done. As referenced numerous times he is a year young for the grade, but will still be a three-year starter, throwing 29 TDs/7 INTs in the last 16 games.

SEASON UPDATE: Definitely one of the most under recruited kids in the region. He hit on 73% of his passes with 26 TDs/3 INTs, while finishing 4th in the state in both TDs and passing yards. The team underperformed finishing (3-6) during the regular season, but he did well.

19.[player_tooltip player_id='206761' first='Andrew' last='Walker'] 6-1 170 WR South Medford (OFFERS: Army, Portland St)The state champion in the 100 meters will have multiple options at the division 1 level. He was one of the only underclassmen to earn 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the football at the 6A level and the 10.6 speed puts him in a different category.

SEASON UPDATE: Oregon's fastest man finished in the top 5 state wide in both receiving yards and TDs, catching 51 passes for 776 yards and 10 TDs. Walker earned 1st team all-conference honors, a year after garnering 1st team accolades on both sides of the ball.

20.[player_tooltip player_id='238432' first='Roice' last='Cleeland'] 6-3 280 C Jesuit (OFFERS: Portland St) As most know Roice is the son of 8-year NFL vet Cam Cleeland. He projects as one of the top centers in the West and potentially the nation. He earned 1st all league and 2nd team all-state honors as a Junior.

SEASON UPDATE: Cleeland led what was considered by many to be the NWs top O line. He is a multiyear 1st team all-conference center, who should end up earning 1st team all-state honors.

21.[player_tooltip player_id='270068' first='Josh' last='Merriman'] 6-3 250 DT Sheldon- Another kid who has a ton of potential, earning 1st team all SWC honors as a junior. His mobility and overall physicality in the tranches helped him account for an impressive 30 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks on the year.

SEASON UPDATE: Merriman has had one of the most impressive seasons of any player state wide. His 57 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks speak to his dominance upfront. Expect him to be a unanimous 1st team all-state selection.

22.[player_tooltip player_id='342013' first='Zach' last='Wusstig'] 6-1 180 ATH/DB South Salem (OFFERS: Portland St) Wusstig projects at DB but will also be a viable offensive threat, so he's listed as an ATH. I like the move to South to show what he can do against top competition. He would have been the overwhelming favorite for Oregon 2A POY honors.

SEASON UPDATE: Wusstig has a stock which continues to sky rocket. He earned 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the ball, having a player of the year type season. He finished the regular season averaging 18.3 yards per catch (37-679) with 11 TDs. Defensively he was absolutely dominant.

23.[player_tooltip player_id='270070' first='Calvin' last='Macy'] 6-2 200 LB Lake Oswego (OFFERS: E Washington, Air Force, Yale, Penn) Macy has had one of the most impressive off seasons of any athlete on this list. He earned 1st team all TRL honors as a junior, and will be called upon to lead a Lakers team who graduates a talented senior class.

SEASON UPDATE: Macy led a young Lakers team, and was a primary factor in them reaching the state quarterfinals. He earned unanimous 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the ball, in the state's toughest league.

24.[player_tooltip player_id='204578' first='Caleb' last='Clardy'] 6-1 200 LB David Douglas Clardy will end up playing D1 ball somewhere. He earned a 3* national ranking from 247 Sports and plays with a no non sense demeanor. He will be in the Mt Hood POY conversation.

SEASON UPDATE: The Scots went (0-9) on the season, but Clardy played out of his mind all year, literally keeping the team in games by himself. Even with the teams tough season he was one of the most consistent athletes on the players of the week list.

25.[player_tooltip player_id='205815' first='Tiger' last='Black'] 6-3 265 DL Roseburg (OFFERS: Air Force, Army) The reigning SWC Defensive POY and 2x 1st team all-league athlete is an absolute disrupter on the interior and should land some additional D1 offers separate from the military institutions.

SEASON UPDATE: It was a tough season for the Indians who finished (0-9) after last years (9-2) campaign. As referenced Black was the SWC Defensive POY, and is a talented athlete who will do well collegiately.
