Every year in Mississippi there are six players who are considered the MVPs for the respective classifications. This is an honor that most can't say they have accomplished. Every top prospect in the state wants to be recognized as the best, but only a few will receive this prize. It is an award earned over the course of your high school career. It is an award highly respected around the state of Mississippi.

Mr 6A: Brayson Hubbard

Brayson Hubbard is a prospect that we all know about. He has been shining at Ocean Springs a very long time and it isn't a surprise that he is Mr. 6A. It is something that he has earned. His stats every week are always very diverse. This year we have gotten a chance to witness him play the position that he will play in college. He is going to be a safety at the next level and it isn't hard to tell the reason why. Hubbard has been putting up some numbers even on the defensive side of the ball this year. He is not mad at all about playing defense. He was committed to Southern Miss as a baseball player before Alabama extended their offer.

Mr. 5A [player_tooltip player_id='108971' first='Dante' last='Dowdell']

Dowdell is a monster on the football field. He is every word of a beast. He is a guy that scares defenders when they see him in pads. He rushed for twenty five hundred yards last season and a lot can argue that he should have won this award last year. That's neither here nor there. Dowdell really is just a grown man amongst boys. It is not fair what he does on the football field. This year he gotten better catching the ball out of the backfield. That raised his stock a lot. Coaches were saying after last football season that is where they wanted to notice improvements in his game this season.

Mr. 4A [player_tooltip player_id='107295' first='Isaac' last='Smith']

Smith is on his way to having a very classical season. He is shining on both sides of the football and it is hard to stop him. He even goes to defense and lays the wood. Defense is where we will all get the opportunity to see him play on the college level. Smith is a very intelligent player who truly studies the game and knows the game. He is a leader on the field who guides his team like a general. It is no surprise that he won this award this year. We can look to see this young man winning more awards when he goes to college.

Mr. 3A [player_tooltip player_id='106167' first='Suntarine' last='Perkins']

Perkins is an Ole Miss committed prospect who has faced a lot this year. Him and his teammates lost two teammates this year on separate different occasions. He hasn't let that stop him. He knows that his teammates would be right there cheering him and the team on. Perkins has been a great motivator for this team. He is getting ready to face Wesson this Friday during the playoffs. You can look for him to have another big game. These are the times we get to see him step up and be a big time player. Last year his team lost in the semi final and I'm sure he wants a different result this year. Perkins will probably be a linebacker in college, but he is doing it all for Raleigh.

Mr. 2A [player_tooltip player_id='248595' first='Quez' last='Goss']

Goss had an amazing season last year throwing for over forty one touchdowns. He also had over twenty eight hundred passing yards. This year he is on fire again. No he isn't the 6-3 210 prototype quarterback, but he gets the job done. On the high school level you need players that you can trust and know will produce. All Goss does is produce. He should be in the studio with Jay-Z the way he produces on the gridiron. Everybody who watches his game falls in love with his style. He lead Scott Central to a state title last year and they put seventy two points on the scoreboard. Goss is dangerous at quarterback and he will continue to make plays this season.

Mr. 1A [player_tooltip player_id='106162' first='Ty' last='Jones']

Jones is a prospect who made a name for himself very early in his career. The Mississippi State commit was lights out as an early prospect. He has still been doing his best and that has earned him Mr. 1A honors. The Bay Spring Bulldog was a champion last season and looks to do it again this year. Most think he will play linebacker in college, but he has been excelling on both sides of the football this season. The Bulldogs in Starkville are going to be very happy to get this guy. He possesses a lot of athleticism and he works hard. He had some nice competition for this award and it wasn't an easy accomplishment.
