Suntarine Perkins Suntarine Perkins 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Raleigh | 2023 State MS | Raleigh
Perkins has long been thought of as one of, if not the, top recruit in the state of Mississippi for this cycle. True production on both sides of the ball helped lead the Raleigh star to the Mr. Football honor in 3A. Perkins has ran for nearly 1300 yards and a whopping 20 TD’s on the season offensively and also has 76 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 INT’s and a forced fumble defensively. The Lions playoff run has without a doubt been led by Perkins, who currently is committed to Ole Miss where he is expected to line up at linebacker.

Austin Goss Austin Goss 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Scott Central | 2023 State MS | Scott Central
The Rebels of Scott Central have had no shortage of offensive firepower in 2022 which has come with Goss as the signal caller. The senior QB has had a huge final high school season completing 115-183 passes for 2277 yards and 29 TD’s. Opposing teams also have to account for the legs of Goss as he has 7 TD’s with the ground game as well. The Rebels are outscoring opponents 104-14 thru 2 rounds of the playoffs due to the playmaking ability of Goss. The 2023 QB prospect is a hard to handle and will make someone much better offensively next year.

Ty Jones Ty Jones 6'2" | 200 lbs | RB Bay Springs | 2023 State MS | Bay Springs
The 2021 playoffs saw Jones burst onto the scene for Bay Springs in their run to the state championship and a commitment to Mississippi State followed soon after. Much like mentioned with Perkins earlier, Jones has shown significant contributions on both sides of the ball this year. The 2023 ATH has averaged nearly 12 yards per carry this year and has found the endzone 24 times on the ground. Defensively Jones projects as a slightly undersized linebacker that plays well downhill. There appears to be a great opportunity to further develop physically if the decision is made to move full time to the defensive side. Expect to continue hearing Jones name deep into the 2022 playoffs.
